You can check sony's authorized retailers. 6th avenue electronics is not listed. That usually means you get an international version. The default sony warranty is one year. 6th ave might have it's own warranty though.

I got it for around $2100 no tax free shipping a year and a half ago at that name your own price website from authorized dealers, so it could be worth giving that a shot. Usually the prices are better when competitors are having sales.

6ave has horrible customer service, I used to buy a DSLR and returned it never been opened. They claim it's opened and charge me 15% restocking fee.
