Available Challenges (select the challenge that corresponds to your desired certification exam):
- The Microsoft Learn AI Skills Challenge starts on March 19, 2024, at 4:00 PM (16:00) UTC and ends on April 19, 2024, at 4:00 PM (16:00) UTC.
- You must provide an email address during registration for the Microsoft Learn AI Skills Challenge. You will be contacted via the email address you provide with the free certification details.
- By completing one challenge within the Microsoft Learn AI Skills Challenge, eligible individuals are entitled to one free Microsoft Certification exam.
- You can only claim one offer per person, regardless of the number of challenges you complete.
- Prior to redeeming your free certification exam, government employees must check with their employers to ensure their participation is permitted, and in accordance with applicable policies and laws.
- This exam offer may be redeemed to take one (1) Microsoft Certification exam, delivered at an authorized Pearson Vue testing center or through a Pearson Vue online proctoring site by June 24, 2024.
- There are no prerequisites to taking an exam. However, to achieve the Microsoft Certification, you must first achieve the prerequisites. If you take and pass the expert exam before the prerequisite, then you won't achieve the Microsoft Certification until you meet all the requirements of that Microsoft Certification.
- This exam offer redemption window starts on April 26, 2024, and expires on June 24, 2024, inclusive of booking and taking the exam.
- This exam offer expiration date cannot be extended under any circumstances.
- This exam offer may only be redeemed once.
- This exam offer may not be redeemed or exchanged for cash, credit or refund.
- This exam offer is nontransferable and is void if you alter, revise or transfer it in any way.
- You must be older than 14 years of age to participate in the Microsoft Learn Cloud Skills Challenge. If Microsoft determines that you are not the minimum age, you will not be entitled to a free Microsoft certification exam and Microsoft reserves the right to legal action against you.

3) It's just another tool in your kit.
4) Even if you are not proficient, you can communicate this during the hiring process as well as your reason for obtaining it. It shows ambition and the ability to start and complete goals/tasks.
All other things being equal, it sets you apart from those that do not have it. This is coming from a person who used to think certs were a joke because most people back end up being literal certified idiots.
