Cool device but I've been spoiled by emulators on the 3DS XL and 2DS XL

I've been away from 3DS XL homebrews/emulators for a long time. What can you run and how stable are they in these days?

You read my mind Frown I personally find that one to be the most appealing colorway (I have one already, but in white; which also looks pretty good but doesn't "pop" as much).

This is the best place to get started- https://3ds.hacks.guide , you can run NES, SNES, GB, GBC, and GBA along with all the DS titles you can fit on your microSD card.

What do you think this vs. ANBERNIC RG35XX H? I'm interested in a device that can handle a wire control, power charge and tv out at the same time.

Only 1GB RAM? You're better off using an Android device with a controller to have a better experience.

Love how I can play Dreamcast and GCN on my phone.
What's the net cost on an android device and a controller?

great little device. The square screen makes arcade games absolutely shine and most PS1 and Dreamcast look great stretched to 8:7 or so to fill the screen. I don't love the battery life but that's the only gripe I have. Look up the Pico-8 content on it, just a fun unique device overall

the blue is surprisingly tasteful and slick. I wish they had some of the transparent colorways of some of the cheaper handhelds (or the transparent green of the RP2s 🤤)

Based on my research, I feel that the RG35XXH can handle a bit more games (N64, DC) and reviews on the RG35xxH are pretty overwhelmingly positive, so I went with the RG35XXH (and its ~$10 cheaper).
I personally like the looks of the RG35XXH better as well, but thats obv subjective. Prob cant go wrong with either for the prices.

The draw of this device is in its 1:1 screen. It does GB/GBC/Pico8 flawlessly. This is what its for. If you don't care for these systems, there are far better options.

This.

I have soooo many different handhelds like this. The screen here is really nice, but the rest of the device definitely feels CHEAP. It's also not super portable like some of the others (it's a big square).

If you simply need perfect Gameboy / GBC, then sure get this. But if your preferred systems are consoles, pass on this device.
