One more thing! If you're playing on PS5, unless they've fixed it, the PS4 version runs better on PS5 than the PS5 version does, and looks almost the same (or at least, it looks good enough!). Most people suggest playing it that way vs the actual PS5 version.
Elden Ring, to me, might as well be called Dark Souls 4, so you can probably write that one off if you hated Dark Souls 1.
Log in, start a fresh toon, put your summon stuff up for every boss, and constantly leave "A hunter is never alone" notes everywhere, and commend every note you see!
You won't succeed if all you do is mash buttons. You gotta play the game.

I'd say bloodborne and dark souls 3 are FromSoft's most polished games. They play exactly as they should and all levels and bosses are well thought out with very little "jank" or "filler" etc. Bloodborne is just more difficult than ER due to forcing you to play melee only with no shield and not having the accessibility options of ER.
I agree with everyone's opinion here to start with Elden Ring. But Bloodborne is a very streamlined and polished game. The high difficulty and lack of checkpoints was intentional.
I agree. Amazing game. The price also makes this a no brainer, but this game is not for quitters. I think this is one of the hardest games I've played in a long time, but it is worth it.

I'm guessing Elden Ring is closer to Demon and Dark Souls games in fighting mechanics than Bloodbourne? I know Elden Ring is Open World but I'm not sure that would make much of a difference if I hate those fighting mechanics.
