Original price is either $30 or $25, never $39. Available for the same price at Target:

That's frustrating. The Amazon "list price" just appears to be completely made up garbage most of the time. It's like they find the highest price listed out there somewhere, at some point, and use that to display huge discounts for their normal priced stuff. No one is paying Fiskars MSRP on this stuff. It sucks that SD staff and Amazon have the same incentives to mislead people here.
SD staff asked me to post list price that is available on Amazon. Technically it is 38.99 on Friskars site, but I agree - that is wrong price to compare.
For better price comparison I also post price before the sale.

These are really good for trimming branches. We had several trees you couldn't even walk underneath. Don't worry about disposal of the branches. Take these loppers and cut the branches into 2-foot pieces and just put them in some paper lawn bags to set out for the trash. Pull the shoots and leaves off with your hands and stuff them in as well.

If you don't need the 28" reach, how does this compare to the Costco deal? These are 19.99 in store. https://www.costco.com/fiskars-15...18638.html

It's more than about reach - that additional length gives you more leverage so you don't have to exert as much force as the smaller Costco version.

Thanks! Always a fan of not supporting Amazon. I miss walking into a store and getting what I need instantly.

Not sure how YMMV this is, but I picked up this exact pair of Fiskars 28" loppers in Ross two weeks ago for $10.99.

These have worked okay for me, but with any hard wood or thicker branch that I could normally cut, the blades twist apart instead. This leaves me with the branch wedged between the flat sides of the blades, like the steel or the hinge are weak.

Comfortable grips, nice length, maybe not built for heavy use.

I've used those 15" loppers quite a bit for clipping through grape vines up to about three inches. The handles are hollow and creak a lot, so I would use something sturdier if you're going through hard wood or thick branches, but on the bright side they're super light. I like them, but you will probably want a heavy-duty pair as well.

I ask that u post comparable prices outside Amazon so we can see that their prices are often inflated. Because I'd imagine u checked around before u posted. TiA.

Amazon prices are usually price-matched to other retailers, so "previous" price that I post in my OP is a decent indicator.
Deal editors do not transfer this info to FP post usually, but sometimes they do their own price research.

Try the PowerGear 2 version that is on sale at the www.als.com. [com.] They rock, I have a pair and the leverage and cutting power is excellent!

We have a craftsman similar to this deal and recently got the fiskars 15" one during black friday. The fiskars is amazing. We bought the Costco deal too just to have 2.
