These look kind of cool, but I don't understand the fascination with five-eight sided tents, particularly for smallish ones. It would have a lot more usable space if it was square. without meaningfully increasing the footprint or cost (maybe even making it cheaper).

my guess is smaller sides means smaller poles, I think it just folds up smaller.
Anything I've seen that's similiar with just 4 sides has MASSIVE packed up size, essentially canopy size.
