Sam's club is selling the Google Pixel 7a - 5G 128GB for $349
Since this had all the sales might as well add this one to the listing for another option

Anyone know which retailer does a decent trade in value for other Pixel phones?

If you have a Google Fi account and go through the Google Fi app you can get the 7a for $250 and they have higher trade in values

Should I go with the 256 gb or would the 128 gb be sufficient?

Depend on your usage. I don't play games and don't take a lot of photos or videos on my P7P. And I uninstall any apps that I don't use often. So far, my P7P uses about 40 out of 128 GB.

I "upgraded" to the 7a from the 4a and I do not recommend it. The camera is great, but that's about it.

The fingerprint sensor is terrible with and without a screen protector with the screen protector mode on or off. The cell antenna is way worse than the 4a. I have tried Verizon, Visible and T-Mobile and in all cases I have less signal strength with the 7a, to the point where some locations where I had full 5g and 4g before I now have intermittent connectivity. And the performance on the 7a is about the same in day to day, but there are frequent freezes in apps and websites. I would blame the last part on the poor signal but this happens at home with high speed wifi. I wish I hadn't thrown the box away after a week, so I could return it. Unless you have a phone that is falling apart and are on a budget, I would skip the 7a. Maybe the 7 pro or 8 are better.

I was looking at this and the Pixel 8 for $500. I went with the Pixel 8 for a couple of reasons.
1. Pixel 8 has a smaller footprint but a slightly larger screen.
2. Pixel 8 has security updates through October 2030, Pixel 7a through May 2028.
3. Pixel 8 has Android version upgrades through October 2030, Pixel 7a through May 2026.
I upgraded from a Pixel 4, so I tend to keep my phones 4-5 years.
