If you are technically savvy.. you can install custom firmware which cuts the cord with it's overseas mothership.
Install them in this order..

I personally never understand this mindset (nor the mindset of not buying because you're giving China your payment information).

Just go through a credit card and file a chargeback if your return request is legitimate. If China gets your credit card as well, I don't know how much damage they can possibly even do. If China does start doing anything heinous, the credit card companies will handle it since it will be widespread. Or just use another payment method like Paypal if available. It kind of just seems like an ignorant opinion but I'm open to seeing why I could be wrong. A word of caution would be more apt in my eyes.
The L10s Ultra is very similar to the $700 Roborock Q Revo but with a full camera (similiar to Roborock's MaxV series) and a mop detergent dispenser. Dreametech website also doesn't charge sales tax but may take over a week to arrive.

I have the L10 Ultra without the camera and it's been working well for me. The only glitch I've ran into was that if I place a 'no mop zone' on a doorway (to clear a tall threshold) the robot can't pathfind its way into that room.
I've had this unit for a while, and overall it's pretty great. A huge annoyance is the way that the dust bin empties itself.

You cannot set it to empty the dust bin every time it goes back to the base. It will only auto-empty the bin after it has completed cleaning. This is pretty annoying; in my house, it would need to empty the bin 2 to 3 times as it gets really full.

There is a workaround where you can create multiple tasks within the app. But it's annoying that it doesn't empty the bin every time it goes back to charge, clean mop pads, or get more water.

Is this a good unit, especially for mopping? How does it compare to Roborock S8 Ultra or Q Revo? Good deal at this price? Is the more expensive one worth extra cost? Thanks.

What's the difference between this model and the W10 for $450?

Picked it up for this price (+/-$10) back on Black Friday. Currently have over 120 sessions and more than 60hrs of use time on it. Love it. Primarily used for mopping LVP flooring and my toddlers messes, but I take it upstairs for all the bedroom carpets once a week and that's also awesome.

With the new whole house cleaning robots on the horizon I expect these types of robots to fall quickly in price. Their is now a vacuum that can go up and down stairs by itself and clean multiple levels while it mops. It is for preorder right now through kickstarter at $850 and dual packs for around $1500 and the robot looks very promising, they are definitely the future over these single level robots.
