NJ residents who want to see totality will have to drive to NY (or PA), so just pick up your glasses on the NY Thruway on your way upstate.

Population in my city is going to double from 160k to 320k+ that day so I don't plan to really go out in public. It's going to be absolutely insane in so many areas. But yeah, an open parking lot would be nice, just not sure how much better the experience is going to be, unless you're trying to see some planets that you otherwise wouldn't be able to. Be safe, in any case.
