I got the Razer Kishi a while back for my iPhone and liked it, but haven't gone back to it since it doesn't work with a case. Seems really odd that they couldn't make an adapter of some sort to extend the connection when using a case. Seems like a great recipe to ruin potential great sales for a product. It looks like this controller too doesn't work when using any kind of phone case. Seems like a pointless product to me.

I doubt it will go on such a deep sale anytime soon. These are on sale cause Apple switched to USB-C and no longer uses lightning port so they are just trying to get rid of this stock.

I saw them but didn't pick one up because I figured that I'd upgrade soon to a USB-C phone. Then they came out with an upgrade where you can play with any screen and just use the controller with a cable. Now I wish I had bought one. Oh well.

Yeah, the USB-C version goes for a higher price due to higher demand while the Apple version is generally for lower prices.

I want one as it's a very convenient way to play PS4 streaming, Dreamcast (emulation), GameCube (emulation), and other games.

Even with lightning, the new backbone 2 gen has room for the case that makes all the difference. I don't know anyone that doesn't use a case which adds another step.
