Agreed.

Not a good deal. The last time this set was posted, it included the stocks and throne.

Is everything shown included with this set? If not, how much more am I spending other than buying a throne? The kiddo has plenty of sticks already!

This is actually a really solid deal. Throne and sticks generally aren't included (also stock pedals tend to suck), but when they are included they tend to be trash. A set of good vaters or promarks are like $10, and get a used throne at a local second hand store for ~$30.

The core kit is solid and kvx has the actual hihat pedal which is like $200 by itself.

As a drummer with a couple of electronic sets, I'd jump on this if I didn't already have a TD-17 with a vh-10.

This is a very complete set. Only additional expenditure might be for a better bass pedal or double pedal.

Lifelong drummer here. Do these have the same action as standard drums for fast rolls and patterns?

Fake drums will never have the feel of real drums, no matter how expensive. Even the triggered sets that looks like real drums.

No, but they're as close as you can get with mesh heads and imo the best you can do without having to double the price for the Roland 27.

They have a softer feel like you'd expect from mesh. Benefit of this is that you get the upgraded module and the standalone hi hat

I have the td-17kv and IMO this is right. You're never going to get the exact same feel as a real drum from an e-kit, but you can play the same things. Look on YouTube, you can find a million amazing drum covers on electronic kits. Mesh heads will always be bouncier, and rubber pads will always be deader than real drum heads. But if you want to practice without driving your housemates insane, or play small venues, these kits are probably a much better solution than some other alternatives like muffling heads or whatever.

Can't play my acoustic kit at 11:30 at night though or the kids will wake up 😂

Just a heads-up: the kvx does *not* include the hi-hat stand- anyone buying this will need to buy one separately.

Good thought, I might bite, I already have 4 acoustic sets (Ludwig Maples and Neusonics).
Any throne will do for me, but others may bite anyway if that have fat butts and a cheap ones wont hold the weight.

Or I might save up for some Amber Vistalites 26, 18, 16, 14 . F the Neighbors unless you are in a condo or apt.

It might be in your best interest to go to your local music store and try these out before you buy anyway. Not all sticks or thrones are the same.
