10% off via Home Depot if you use a chase card and have the offer through them. Also buying through Home Depot means you can probably get the lock rekeyed to your existing ones by hd for free (at least Lowe's does that and HD did in the last for me... maybe that depends on the store though). Search sd for Home Depot for chase 10% offer.

I think I got mine for 230 though so prices can go lower. Also don't use lithium rechargeable in these only regular. Lithiums go from full to suddenly empty so you'll never get a warning to replace before it dies.

I have one of these and they really are wonderful locks. They were so much more quiet than my previous that I didn't realize it had even locked. I have only been using it for a few weeks, but I really have no complaints so far. We will see how the battery last as I heard that it lasts a long time and it drains quickly. It must depend on the use, I suppose. I got one for my little sister as well when she moved into her new apartment as I wanted to make sure she had something that would be both safe and functional.

The Camelot (Traditional) style may consistently be cheaper than the Century (Modern) style. It looks like the past deals of $230 may have been for the Camelot ones.

90 day return policy at HD vs 30 day with Amazon. No brainer.

I installed one of these last month. Installation and setup were super easy. I have it working with HomeKit, Home Key and Google Assistant voice. It's at 91% battery (which includes many actuations from during the install), so battery seems to last pretty long.

I do have an issue that happens maybe 1-3% of the time. The dead bolt doesn't fully open. It's off by maybe a mm, but even that prevents the door from opening. I then have to lock and unlock a few times. I haven't spent much time troubleshooting it yet.

I bought this lock thinking I'll be able to unlock it with just my iPhone or Apple Watch. While I can do that, but then my wife can't as we don't have a Apple home hub (we're using Alexa), and so only one of us can add this lock to our individual Apple Home. There is the non-plus version that doesn't have this feature and that's how I'm using mine with Alexa and Ring app, and I would've saved some money buying the non-plus version. Anyway, it was my fault for not researching how the iPhone/watch swipe works, aside from that this has been a nice and reliable smart lock for me. If you don't have an Apple home hub or don't have an iPhone, you're better off buying the non-plus version.

Just fyi, this model is compatible with Airbnb app. If you are a host, you can use this keypad to auto-program unique keypad codes to be sent to the guest during the stay.

I'm not understanding your issue. I don't have an Apple home hub but all our iPhones can open the lock using Apple home key.

I've had this for 3 years. Probably change the battery once a year (normal AA batteries)

I live in CA and mine is facing South so it's like exposed to sunlight the whole day but still no issues or anything with overheating/color fading. Never really use app or iPhone to unlock, more simpler to just put in my code.

I don't know how you did it, when I added it to my Apple Home on my phone, I can't link it to my wife's Apple Home. If I remember correctly it says it's already added to another device or something like that. Then I remember searching online and read something about I need to have a home hub to add both of us to (I can't invite my wife to my Apple Home if I recall correctly and share devices without a home hub). This was several months ago, but if you're able to shed some light on how you added it to Apple Home on two different iPhones each with an Apple ID, I'd appreciate that.

Here is the exact Reddit I came across that said I needed a hub for multiple people access:

I don't recall how I set it up, but I have one Apple Home (iOS app), then from there add people to it. Each then have their own home key in their Apple Wallet to unlock. I do have an old Apple TV, but I'm pretty sure it's not connected to it in any way. Let me confirm tomorrow all the different ways the family can unlock.

Here's the video I watched for setup. https://youtu.be/54FSGGneYpc?si=MEulr6WA2QXW1JXV

As I mentioned, "invite people" from within the Apple Home Settings. That should give them access to HomeKit/HomeKey.
