Thats a chicken nugget
I'm surprised boneless wings took so long to be invented. Those are the easiest chickens to catch.
I got them a few times, they are not to my liking, definitely not restaurant quality more like frozen food.

No, you're not getting this whole perspective thing at all. It's 2 days worth of sodium in 10 nuggets. Why are you defending and shilling for Applebees?
Chill. Everyone gets their say and until you refute them, then you are just being emotional and not factual.

Processed food (which includes fast food) is all high in sodium. Salt makes it taste good and preserves it. It's one of the reasons I make food and rarely eat out. One of the reasons kind you. It's not an industry secret that fast food and processed food has loads of sodium, so if you are eating it, you should be doing it knowing it's full of sodium. It doesn't take a scientist to know fried, battered and sauced food is high in fat, preservatives, calories and sodium. People don't need SD Karen's telling them this.

Boneless wings are typically 100% breast meat, and according to Applebee's, there's are as well. The sauce can be overwhelming, so that's basically what you're tasting with boneless wings. Chicken nuggets are served plain but loaded with salt and flavorings, so in that case, you're really not tasting the chicken all that much. Especially if you're dipping them in sauce.
Given a choice, I prefer Wendy's chicken nuggets over the others. There are some that I haven't tried, but IMO, McDonald's are the worst! Too bland tasting. I prefer to judge them plain. Wendy's are so tasty that sauce is sometimes secondary. Regardless, I'm not a huge fan of chicken nuggets. I find boneless wings to be more satisfying.
You're still maintaining that? Even without the sauce the excessive breading is loaded with salt, flavorings, and other concoctions. It's so overdone that there's even less chicken than the fast food nuggets (and those places don't call them wings). 100% of the meat is 100% breast meat does not mean there's a lot of actual meat in it. Applebee's claim/advertising is 100% misleading if people actually believe their boneless wings are 100% breast meat. All I know is I 100% do not like it.

Ah, man. This has been entertaining. It's seems to be dying down, though. Let me rekindle the fire: Applebee's boneless wings are horrible and taste like salty compressed wood shavings. Or they're the best boneless wings on the market and are Michelin star quality morsels of magnificence. Take your pick.

Wings at my local Applebee's are good and this price is very reasonable given that everything is egregiously priced now. Especially like the Asian zing sauce. People are free to hate on them all they want. It's a good deal for people that enjoy their local chain. You can go to just about any restaurant and on the wrong night, you might get bad food. I agree with the OP though, this place has become a cesspool of people talking about how "bad" food is based on their small sample size with exaggerated claims. All it does is deter people away from a decent deal.

I eat wings / tenders from applebees, zaxbys, ocharleys, wingin' it, wingstop, wings etc (laughably priced tier) = bdubs, twin peaks, hooters .... lots of places in my suburban hellscape and Applebees is up there.

Also make my own "wings" from time to time, and the prep time, cook time, and cleanup (and frankly real life price of meat + oil + sauce) of doing it yourself wouldn't be worth it compared to .50 a wing.

Thanks OP

Haven't had Applebee's in YEARS so I decided to pick up a couple orders of these, and immediately remembered why I haven't been in so long… Definitely won't be back any time soon. These are essentially nothing more than gross, bagged frozen wings warmed in a microwave.

I suppose (as with many others here) you only read what fits YOUR narrative! Once again, no one is compelling you to eat 10 of these at one time. It's an appetizer (and easily twice the size of a portion of typical "nuggets", which are a different food item)! Once again, do your homework and you'll see just how much sodium is contained in most restaurant entrees (and many frozen food dinners). You'll see that this isn't unique to this particular product. Especially when you consider that these are not supposed to be eaten 10 at a time! You're making assumptions....including this stupid nonsense about my shilling for Applebee's! Did you ever defend something that you particularly liked/recommended it?? It's my prerogative to defend something that I particularly like (without being falsely accused of shilling for the company....which I'm not!). Get it? Got it? Good!....or perhaps you're too unevolved to understand this?

Thanks for your truly rational and realistic approach! It's truly sad (and bewildering) just how many here either insist upon joining the "haters club" (so that they can fit right into this joint attack mode nonsense) and/or are incapable of putting things into proper perspective (as you so eloquently did)!
Unfortunately, your (more reasonable) post will be conveniently ignored (and/or attacked) by this community (as it doesn't fit their narrative)!

I suppose that, in your world (which most here reside in), there's no such thing as something that might fit somewhere in the middle? It must be one extreme or the other, right?

Trust me, they won't be missing you!....or anyone else who unilaterally condemns everything on the menu because one particular item isn't to their liking or perhaps wasn't up to par at the time, which, although I'm not defending them, occurs from time to time. Please share the location where you work in the kitchen (as you're so certain about how these are prepared).

So you conveniently switch things up and, instead of your original claim (that these are not 100% chicken) are now citing the quantity of the 100% chicken! Which one is it? Did the wind suddenly change direction (to suit your new narrative)?

Thanks for your calm, reasonable, rational, and above all, realistic approach (sans all the attack mode nonsense that's become the norm here)! If people don't have the right to defend something that they personally enjoy (without being falsely accused and ridiculed), then things are even worse (at least with certain people) than I even thought!

An expensive nugget. A five piece boneless wing is about 300 grams. That's a little more than one ounce per piece. This "deal" means you are getting prepared chicken at $7.62/lb. Considering this is antibiotic treated factory white breast chicken meat that has been highly processed, frozen, thawed and warmed...it doesn't seem like a deal.
Another Applebee's kitchen staffer that seems to know every single thing about these!
Please share the Applebee's location where you're employed....and if you happen to think that the average person here is planning to prepare these at home, using pricey, organic, truly antibiotic free chicken (to save money?), man, are you barking up the wrong tree!

Just about most places are overpriced these days. You missed the part that I had a gift card from my initial post.
Actually, I didn't miss that....but the form of payment is unrelated to the fact that Applebee's is clearly overpriced. As are all restaurants these days. Thanks primarily to price gouging, which will (hopefully) backfire over time (as these corporations continue to lose business as a result)!
