At least locally I've found most of their prices roughly on par with Walmart's. Food is a bit cheaper at Walmart, however it means you have to go to Walmart. Walmart's shopping experience is like walking into an open air bazaar. Indistinct yelling at all times, aisles so packed you feel like you're
moving in an assembly line through the entire store, poor lighting, people who look like either they've been on meth far too long or others who just don't care and dress functionally in pajamas. In addition it looks like all the Walmart workers who look like they literally hate their lives, I can't blame them seeing what they deal with and on and on.

It is probably the worst retail shopping experience I experience and it only seems to get worse. I can see why people (and myself) don't mind spending a little extra at Target. I still occasionally grocery shop at Walmart, but I have my headphones in and I speed like hell to get in and out of there.
They have this offer regularly, you just have to factor in that it's essentially 30% discount. If price at 30% discount is cheaper than buying elsewhere? It's good deal.

Decent idea to stock up on tissues or TP for the year, at least that's what I always do.

Edit: Puffs + lotion 8 pack rectangle is $13.49 Target and $13.28 Walmart. IDK warehouse pricing for similar quality facial tissue. So Target is essentially $13.49 - 30% = 9.45 or 1.18 per rectangle box

The trick is getting order as close to $50 as possible.
I've been doing the same with this routine deal. Just to be absolutely sure of its value, I did a direct comparison with a warehouse price and can confirm that this Target deal is indeed better.

Product compared: Puffs Plus Lotion

This Target deal:
After factoring in the GC value, $9.443 for 576 total tissues ($0.0163 per tissue)
https://www.target.com/p/puffs-pl...nk=sametab
Sam's Club
$17.98 for 864 total tissues ($0.0208 per tissue)

Neat but Target isn't that generous. I mean free gift card is nice, no argument there but it comes with a higher price tags. Guess shoppers don't care lol.

My experience at 2 Walmart stores near me has both good and bad. The bad apple still carry that common misconception once inside. Customers, employees, organization, neighborhood and such play a big role. The other Walmart store aka good apple in this case has far lesser misconception or lesser unwanted vibe for instance.

As a result I shop more at Walmart than Target. I typically get better deal thanks to Walmart Plus and the fact it near by me closer than Target.

All in all, my experience is not the same as you and everyone else

That's not true. They don't have a pointless greeter like Walmart does worship

I shop at target because I live 4 minutes away and the cloaest walmart is 20 minutes away. I'm not pinching pennies and trying to find the bottom barrell prices on everything, but with higher priced home care stuff like detergents/papers/etc, I'll usually open the Walmart app while I'm shopping at target and scan stuff. Its rare they are ever more than 5-10% different in price, and they both run sales on the brand name things at the same time. With the redcard 5%, and category offers like this combined with manufacturer coupons in the circle app, target can be significantly cheaper if you stick to a list.

Pretty much all consumables at target are comparable to walmart. Baby, home care, food, pharmacy. Target is just way more expensive everywhere else like toys/clothes/electronics/home goods.

Good deal to combine with rebate apps. 5x 5oz laundry scent beads, 105 load and 177 load arm&hammer detergent, and a scotch brite dish wand put you just over the $50 threshold

$15 back from target, claim $21.15 from rebates. ~$15 actual cost for a reasonable amount of brand-name necessities

They don't jack up the prices for this sale (at least for the items I purchase regular through this particular promo) but if that ever changes, I have always used the gift card earned from the last time I used the promo because I don't really shop Target otherwise.

I usually load up on Daily Shower Cleaner and their pricing is stupid as the "economy" refill is MORE expensive than two of the regular bottles with the spray nozzles. I think the two bottles are slighty more ounces or just the same. Can't immediately recall.

They just did this promo a few weeks ago, so it must be benefitting them some way though.

For all the comments on Target prices being too high, be advised they price match!
