Checked Brickseek this morning and saw that the DCS577X1 kit was on clearance and in stock despite the Home Depot app saying the complete opposite. Went to the store and the price rang up at $230! With military discount the total came to $223 out the door. Regular price seems to be running between $450 and $500 and a deal for this kit hasn't been posted for several years.

I have no idea how many stores are running this deal but it may be worth it to check Brickseek to see if this kit is on clearance in your area. Good luck!

Its a good feature to have. Its easy to be careless and hit something with the blade after the cut. Even just a chunk of wood or metal on the ground when you set your saw down. Even if you use the rafter hook, that puts the blade in a good bite angle to grab someone standing or grabbing.

I've noticed a trend of STEEP discounts on a lot of 60v tools and batteries. I wonder if they plan to move away from 60v, and are trying to get rid of inventory before they make an announcement. Or. Maybe they want to get more homeowner sales at these reduced rates.
