Meijer is a hypermart common in the Midwest.
Store Locator [meijer.com]
Certified Angus Beef Bone-In Prime Rib Roast. $7.99/lb with mPerks (free shopper card).
They call it prime rib, but it is USDA choice, like most angus beef and most store "prime rib". That is legal, although IMHO it shouldn't be.
The link to the product says $8.99, but that is without mPerks. The ad for the mPerks discount is on the
Meijer home page [meijer.com].
There is a easily avoidable limit of 1 per purchase. If you want more than one, just go through the checklane twice. You can use the same mPerks number/card. I did this on Thanksgiving with turkeys. I didn't even get in line twice, I just processed 7 turkeys on 7 different transactions in the same self-checkout. There was a small glitch with that in that the self-checkout detected the other turkeys in my cart, and the clerk had to override a security thing (which wasn't a problem).
I get a lot of beef from Meijer, and it has always been good, even though I usually buy it on clearance when it's about to expire.
