One possible use for these is to keep in your basement if you're in the part of the world with tornadoes. Our town was hit with an f4 several years ago and lots of people came up from their basement with just socks or even bare feet. You could buy a pair for the whole family.
Yes.

They are junk. Look for some wolverines on eBay or something. These won't last a few months and they're cheap in many ways.
if they last 2 months of mild comfort, they more than pay for self.... compared to a 80 dollar wolverine that doesnt last much longer... (my wolverines leaking right now after about 3 months of wear)

I wouldn't recommend it. Takes a long time to break in and weight quite a bit even for a steel-toe.

I don't have this exact pair of shoes, but did use lots of other Brahmas in the past for work(auto mechanic). Out the box, I would immediately change the insole to something better, Dr Scholls Gel inserts or whatever. After doing so, I think the brand is just fine.

For those wondering about the brand, sure, there are better more expensive alternatives, but for those on a low budget (like I was) they worked just fine and did happily use them pair after pair.

Likely guaranteed junk

If you need toe protection and are mandated to steel by ASTM numbers ...get a composite toe Smilie

Expensive but if you are needing steel toed boots consider Red Wing or Keen. Both mfgs still have lines made in USA. Buy these and with your first paycheck invest in your feet and back. Then donate to these to your local thrift store.

I got 14 years almost on my last pair of steel toes for this brand. But only used them like once a week tops and in winter a bunch.

Brahma Alpha out of the box were perfect - others felt too stiff.

Purchased the brown and light brown for working around the farm/house, mechanical upkeep, weed eating or trips to the junkyard. No more random sticky branch popping up through my tennis shoe sole or heavy things slipping and catching a toe. It's great for the use that I need and cost!!

Light brown looks almost too nice to mess up.

IMO, I wouldn't waste my money on shoes that normally retail for <$50. Everything will be synthetic and poor quality.

Wait for a sale or clearance of better quality boots/shoes.

Everyone's budget is different. Just my opinion.
