Good mouse, have been waiting for to go on sale. I've used it the past 4 years., and it's still working although the rubber coating has peeled considerably. I tried a cheaper Anker model and it wasn't nearly as good, so back to this I go for round 2.

My favorite mouse of all time. I've purchased three of them.

That's odd.... three? "Why three? " you ask. Because of Logitech's absolutely abysmal reliability. There is a very well know issue with this mouse's clicker switches. Search google for "mx vertical drag" or "mx vertical microswitch". There's actually a mini-industry of people providing the service of replacing this (and others, as well) mouse's switches once they inevitably fail.

But it's still my all time favorite mouse. I finally had to draw a line and stop buying them on principle. I'm currently using their other vertical mouse, the "Lift". It's ok. The vertical MX Vertical was much, much more comfortable for me with my big hands. Oh well.

If you do buy this, get the amazon extended warranty. I promise you that YOU WILL USE IT. Fair warning provided....

I have tried all kinds of ergonomic mouses. If you are looking for something that would alleviate your shoulder pain, go with the Ergo M575 trackball mouse. It is a game changer. It would take a day or two to get accustomed, but once you are through, there is no going back.

Thanks for the suggestion!! Sadly it's not a shoulder issue rather hand/wrist issue.
I've used quite a few vert mouse in the past they make a huge difference. I've been trying out various "ergo" shaped mouse in the last two years. I've tried out mx master 2s, basilisk ultimate, viper ultimate (thinking light weight might help), G502x plus, model i2 wireless, mx master 3s and finally returning to vert mouse after many experiments both in weight and shape.

Both the shape and weight seems to have a big impact on the fatigue/cramp/carpal tunnel issues. Despite the three mice being in nearly identical shape, impact on the hand/wrist was vastly different. I definitely like the model i2 wireless out of the three "ergo" gaming mice. Both the MX Master models are too heavy imo.

I would still recommend a track ball mouse since it will lock your wrist position in one place. It is only your fingers that will move to some extent. I have had a combination of bad carpal tunnel and shoulder issues. Switching to a trackball mouse saved me.

Tell me more. I never knew mouse can cause shoulder problem. How did you figure that out? I have shoulder problems need to look into M575

It depends on how you move your mouse. Some people keep their arm relatively still and move the mouse using their wrist. Some people use their fingers, elbows, shoulders, or a combination.

What you use changes what can be done to alleviate the issue. A trackball would basically cut out the rest of the joints and focus it on your thumb, though. I switch between the logitech ergo and mx master just to change it up.

Does it has a double click switch ?
If you are asking whether it has a button to switch the scroll wheel from click/ratchet to free spinning, it does not. If you are asking whether you can program a button to be a double click, I think you can do that with the side buttons.

Look up shoulder mouse online. I tried to look into all sorts of possible causes. Even did extensive physical therapy, invested in an ergonomic chair, height adjustable table etc. Soon I realized that I was overworking my muscles by stretching my arm holding the mouse and continuously moving it around. To fix that, I went through all sorts of high end ergonomic mouses. Nothing worked. I was using and returning them pretty regularly. The thought of a trackball mouse seemed weird at first. I had never used one. Finally I took a plunge, bought the M575 and immediately realized the advantage. That and regular exercise has saved me.

What a timing. I've been trying out MX Master 3S and it wasn't really helping and was looking to replace it again with a vert mouse
Timing would likely have been better if the OP had waited. One never can predict the Amazon bazaar, but the price has been dropping steadily.

for those having double click issue, i got hotkeys script that doesnt register a 2nd click untill specified time period (about 100 150 ms). so it filter out the mouse's 2nd click. u can google for it. try it out and see it it works for u. dragging works too. occasional hiccups but works 99% of the time.
edit. this is for work. never tried for gaming. i imagine u r not using vertical mouse for gaming.

IMO the MX Ergo Advanced Wireless Trackball is an upgrade over the M575

Definitely agree, but the concept is the same.

The ergo has the adjustable angle plate and it can go even more vertical if you get the best buy version that has the extra angled base. I have 3 and all ended up having clicker issues and I had to resolder the switches.
