These have Gibson USA pickups, upgraded wiring and a hardcase.
If you don't mind a Satin finish and epiphone on the headstock these are reportedly solid guitars.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Oh my God, we're sooooooo impressed! ๐Ÿ‘
I have this in dark burst. Great guitar with Gibson Burstbucker humbucking pickups, CTS potentiometers, and Mallory capacitors.

Only negative are the tuners, which work fine, but feel cheap.

Solid deal. My only nit to pick on an Epi LP is the poly finish vs nitro, but at their price points its like complaining about a lack of leather seats in an entry level car. Getting the USA pickups and the quality Caps and Pots at this price makes it a great buy, imo.
Nitro is the worst. I have a 2023 SG 61 and dented the finish just installing a new bridge. For me the real issue with these is the Indian Laurel. I cant stand how that feels.

I was actually looking at this for lack of Nitro. Nitro is a pain in the ass to keep nice.

Not sure what 'pita to keep nice' means... you wipe it down. you rarely use a very light touch of cleaner/polish if needed just like I do with my fenders. Perhaps 'keep nice' means free from signs of use?

One of the primary differences is that over time and with use the nitro can show wear in ways poly won't/can't which can be a plus for players that consider that wear and tear from their own playing to be an impartation of character. Oddly enough, some people pay for that relic look on a new guitar. Go figure. However, if you want the best chance for your guitars to look perpetually like case queens, I agree that poly is the better choice.

Just grabbed another open box (level 3) for $431.42. It's getting crazy.
Please report back when you get it. It's a scratch and dent model (condition 3, which says it's "Scratch and Dent") almost certainly from a Guitar Center store. Some of the S&D guitars at my local Guitar Center have big chunks of finish, and even wood, missing. They were likely damaged in shipping, dropped by some Pete Townshend wannabe, or the like. I never mind scuffs and "dings", but big chunks missing only work if you're SRV or Willie Nelson. LOL.

UPDATE: I see Musician's Friend puts up photos of the specific scratch and dent instruments now. The two S&D models listed now show significant cracks or breaks at the headstock. I'm surprised they're not discounted more. Even with a good repair, the resale value of those guitars will be permanently reduced, with a more difficult sale. $639 for those is ridiculous.

I'm surprised by the nitro detractors and preferring poly. I've had poly on my Epi Sheraton and now nitro on my LP. I'd say I prefer the nitro...though I do have a satin finish on the neck which *I think* improves playability. Never liked the poly neck on my Sheraton.

I haven't had my LP long enough to compare to my Sheraton (~20yrs), but so far so good and prefer the nitro.

Would you care to elaborate? I'm kind of a hobbyist but this deal is looking great for me right now

Got the burst one! Talked to the guys at my local GC and they had one shipped from the warehouse. Played the lemon one in store, was very nice but had a nasty headstock break, looking forward to picking mine up next week ๐Ÿ‘
