Is this a good thread to mention Chevron with techron is way overpriced and marketed to make you think you are getting better gas than you really are

Even with its overpriced, it still cheaper than Costco or Arco after $1 off per gallon and they are more convenient. This deal been there more than a year and Chevron still running the promotion. You can even use it with Safeway reward to get another 20 cents off (sometimes they allow you to used rewards for $1 off) plus upside or microsoft start cash rewards on app. Only problem is it need a phone number to create and verify for an account.

Right, but just for the first 3 visits. After that it's not worth it.

No, you need to get a new phone number and email address to create a new account to get $1 off for first 3 transactions up to 25 gallons each. I been filled it up with portable gas tank to get 25 gallons each transaction, borrows numbers from friends and family that didn't have gasoline car or get a new number from those metro phone deals etc.
