I ordered a refurbished Mini 3 Pro last year directly from DJI. I had a trip coming up and I wanted to bring a drone. Shipping took almost a week. Drone arrived, turned it on, and long story short, it was missing a vital internal piece and it didn't work. So I went to send it back to DJI. Because it was a refurbished unit, they said they had to open a case number, I had to send it back, they had to repair/inspect the defunct device, and they were going to send me another refurbished unit. The whole process was going to take 2-3 weeks. I said please, just give me a refund, I can't wait on another refurbished unit. My trip was the next week. I immediately ordered a new one from BestBuy, picked it up, and it worked flawlessly.
They REFUSED to give me a refund. They said they had to resend me a drone. I said, per your own return policy, I should be able to get a refund. They said no we have to ship you back the drone since you opened a case number. I said no, YOU opened the case number and return process when I told you that the drone I bought refurbished didn't work.
So they send me another refurbished drone about 3 weeks after I first purchased. I told them I want a refund. They said ok, here's your shipping label, when we get the drone back we will give you your refund.
2 weeks after they received the drone, still no refund in my Paypal account, no updates on my Case # with this drone. They then tried to say they never received the drone, they had no record of ever receiving the drone, even though I had screenshots and tracking numbers, and thankfully I wrote all that down. I spent hours between the phone and online chat. This went on for a few weeks. This went on so long that the tracking number from UPS actually expired, and thank God I had screenshots of the UPS site showing delivery. Finally they said they did have the drone, my refund would be processed within 60 days.
I finally get a refund 2 months later, and then a week later, DJI re-charged my Paypal account for the same amount as my first purchase. I was furious. That took more hours on chat and phone and talking with Paypal as to how this was even possible.
I think it took close to 6 months for me to finally get my refund.
DJI makes the best drones on the market and I absolutely love flying them. But my GOD I had such a horrible experience. I will never buy a refurbished drone again that I couldn't immediately return to a 3rd party reliable seller like Amazon or Bestbuy.
My IG is @clarkefishing if you want to see some of the content I've captured with the Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3 Classic
What doesn't seem normal is why every time I share this story someone like you has to come out and defend DJI? I'm the consumer and I'm sharing you my awful experience where they held $1,000 of my money hostage for 6 months.

My S24 Ultra is 6.8 in and 2000 nits and I also have a 9" tablet I like to use with my mini 2.
Tough one.
Samsung S24U claimed = 2600 nits
Measured by notebookcheck = 1365 nits / avg
DJI RC2 claimed = 700 nits
Measured by ????
I can't find actual measured nits but I think I can comfortably say my phone is at least twice as bright.
Is my phone smaller than 6.8 inches because I watch something with a different aspect ratio?
Lol.
If the 4 came earlier, i would have returned the 3 for the 4.
Oh, their Care refresh - many people find value in having it so I bought it also.
Theres a firmware update that allows you to fly it fpv. I dont believe m3p has that
You werent kidding about the dji fanboys!

Is nit like mah on battery packs? They just make shit up?
You can't optionally hook up your phone/tablet to the RC2 but you can do HDMI out like this guy...

What do we think of DJI Care Refresh?
Also some reviewers have said the upgrades from Mini 3 Pro are minimal so I'm also looking at the costco deal for that...
https://www.costco.com/dji-mini-3...51247.html
The first (and second) time you crash your $800 drone and it explodes into a dozen useless pieces you'll be so glad you got the care refresh.
Abt.com had it $101 off 998 VS 1099 regular price, but I signed up for an account (abt.com) got a $25 coupon, also am a veteran which you can validate during checkout for $50 off $500. Then when it arrived there was damage to the box and the soft case and I could have exchanged it but after talking to customer service I accepted a 10% discount so 998 - 25 - 50 - 100 = $823 bought a hard case on Amazon for $40
Pulled the trigger on the RC-N2 w/ 2 yrs Care Refresh for $125.
$65/Accident, $235/Flyaway in the US.
Almost went with the Costco deal but the upgrades are meaningful from M3P to M4P.
If Costco didn't list drones under their 90 day returns I might have gone the other way.

I sort of glossed over the time frame, I did get the $25 discount before I bought but the military discount I didn't find out about the military discount until I was going to place a second order. Customer service applied it for me after the fact so maybe give them a call once you get the code.
Actually to get the code put something in your cart and start checkout and look for a box asking if you are military, veteran, or first responder, check that box and continue and it'll have you verify and on the payment page you'll see the coupon code for $50 off $500
Good luck
