$1.25 is the normal price for this, but shrink flation has hit this bottle and it will be going down from 2.75 liters to only 2 liters soon.

Exactly, used to be 3 liters. And it's already down to 2 liters for a few years now. That's why 2.75 liters is now a front page deal on slick deals.

In 1994?

Honestly, I don't think a single grocery store near me has sold 3 liter bottles in over a decade.

But hey, when you need almost a gallon of flat Mr. Perky or (alarmingly) yellow Diet Mountain Lion I guess the dollar store is always an option Wink

Don't worry, aging will do that by itself!

I have only ever seen the 3 liters at dollars stores. For reals, your going to get a glass before the whole thing is flat. Might as well just pour sugar in water and call that a slickdeal....

Pass me a Dr. Thunder!

When I was a kid the 3LT bottles were all the rage. You'd be at some cousin's birthday party in some crappy park, 2-3 mega sized bottles of warm flat sticky off brand soda to handle 30 kids, a pile of cold / soggy grocery store deli fried chicken, mustard based pasta salad no respectful southerner would consume, a kid bleeding on the swing set, one suffering (what we now know is) heat exhaustion, a slip-n-slide set up over rock covered ground....no water hose in sight. All the mothers chain smoking cigarettes. Man, the 80's were great Wink

There are sales on brand named soda all the time at different grocery stores. I wouldn't buy soda the Dollar Tree unless I was in the store and wanted a cold one from the fridge. Though no one stocks the fridge at my local store so sometimes there aren't many or any
