So if you are looking for Plex compatibility an N95 or N100 processor is modern and supports hw decode of all the recent codecs for lower cost. If you need raw CPU power this one is over 2x more powerful than the N100 so it would make a perfectly usable desktop task user replacement but not really either for 3D games. It could handle emulated games tho.
This is cheap for reasons other than old hardware...

Pray you never go online with this! Like going to a lady of the night without protection!
Random benchmarks show 1.5-2.5x faster depending on benchmark.
Also 7500 doesn t support windows 11 Fwiw
Chips with an even second digit (e.g., 5600U and 5800U) have newer Zen 3 tech, which even many "7000 series" chips use.

And what about running a program like Malwarebytes Premium?

This probably has similar GPU specs to the apu in the Steam Deck.
If you're thinking about something similar to the alp 4k then there's almost no chance it will work.
This seems like a good option if you want more power than an N100, but don't want to spend a lot.
Excellent point. BTW, do you think this will be a good Kodi player to stream content from NAS? I am using Firestick and thinking of moving to a more customized experience. One concern is good quality replacement of Firestick remote. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!
Summary at the bottom of this page puts the PC in this deal at about 10% better than the i5-8500t. For me, that's worth saving 75 bucks and having a chance at actual support if something goes wrong. Good luck getting Ace PC to honor a warranty. If they're anything like the other Chinese OEMs that make these under a number of names like Ace magic or Kamrui, it'll likely be a PITA.
Here's one for $130 with a 1 year warranty.

I think maybe I'm just more risk adverse with these Chinese OEM PCs than most people. Especially this which seems to be another version of the Ace Magic that was recently caught shipping malware on their PCs. I know the recommendation is to always reinstall windows when you get a new PC, but the average person (maybe not slickdealers?) don't do this so it's hard to recommend it.
If I was looking for a tiny PC for $300+, I'd just go with this one.
