Up for sale is a Fender JV Mod 50s Telecaster Made in Japan in white blonde finish. It comes with vintage voiced Fender pickups with a push/pull tone pot for out of phase tones. Very attractive white blonde see through finish with an anodized pick guard, very comfortable modified "v" neck profile with a little bit of flame maple on the neck. Really nice playing guitar and in great shape. Will come with the original factory box with a Fender Deluxe gig bag.

DESCRIPTION

"The JV Modified Series combines classic aesthetics with modern playability to suit the needs of today's guitarist. Taking cues from the now highly sought-after "Japanese Vintage" reissues from the early '80s, JV Modified guitars are a refined take on a modern classic.

The '50s Telecaster is equipped with a resonant basswood body and dual single-coil pickups voiced to replicate classic Tele tone. A 4-way switch allows players to quickly select each pickup individually or both pickups in either series or parallel wiring. A push-pull pot on the tone control allows players to flip the pickups in and out of phase in switch positions 2 and 4. The Soft "V"-shaped maple neck has a silky-smooth satin finish and plays effortlessly thanks to the 9.5" radius maple fingerboard and medium jumbo frets.

For the player seeking classic Fender instruments with a twist, the JV Modified Series delivers a unique combination of vintage Fender style and modern playability."

FEATURES

Basswood body finished in White Blonde
Thick soft "V" maple neck with 9.5" radius maple board
Vintage-voiced pickups
3 brass barrel saddle bridge and vintage-style locking tuners
4-way switch with 'series' mode, push-pull pot on tone activates out-of-phase mode
Medium Jumbo frets

Without throwing shade on the deal, it's just worth noting that guitars sold as "used" will include no factory warranty for the purchaser. Buyers with deal with FGW within their policies.

BUT----INCLUDES A FENDER GIG BAG!

Are these playable out of box?
I have recently bought player telecaster and it's so messy. If these are better I would return player telecaster and get MIJ telecaster

These are excellent guitars. I would say they are as good as any US Fenders I've played. Maybe better fit and finish-wise. Seriously.

I would highly recommend this guitar if you like a vintage neck. The soft V is fantastic.

And notable for a vintage type guitar, the neck relief is adjustable at the headstock. There's no need to unscrew the neck from the body.

No guitars are playable out of the box. Some are better than others, but they all need to be set up.

Agreed. Got the Adorama player tele and tweaked everything. Took 15 minutes to get bowed, high action guitar into excellent setup. Highly recommend getting the measurement tools and proper wrenches and learning how to do these adjustments. The tools are not expensive, easy to get and allows you to setup the guitar to your own liking.

There are a ton of them but going directly to the source first is a good start: https://fendercustomersupport.mic...e/KA-01939

To which part? If it's the material, basswood is very common for Japanese made guitars.

MIJ are my favorite Fenders, especially in this price range. I believe they are made by Tokai, but I could be wrong.

Deal not dead. Price lowered to $719. Sale ends April 9th.

There are many guitars on sale. This is filtered by Fender/Mint. https://reverb.com/shop/franklin-...sale%7Casc

If you filter by Mint. You'll see many guitars on sale.
