I feel like the first one to make a reasonably priced UPS with lithium ion batteries will sweep the market. Reasonably priced meaning only twice the cost of these lead acid monstrosities. Would gladly pay extra for something that is smaller, lasts 20 years, and isn't wasting electricity constantly.
The model you linked is a simulated sine wave model, while the UPC in this deal post is a pure sine wave model.

I own a few of these. These have been great! Color display, Sinewave, USB-C in the front. Of course batteries will need to be replaced every few years like the others but each has been rock solid so far.

I have 3 in use right now. One is on its 2nd set of batteries and the other two are probably due for replacement. I used to buy a pair of Powersonic batteries off of eBay for $30-35. They're probably more now...

CyberPower 1500VA / 900Watts True Sine Wave Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
Item 1350936

Model CST1500S
Does anyone know the diff between the Staples model on sale and the above sold at Costco? I bought the above on sale last Summer and really like it and would not mind the Staples one if it is jsut as good or better.

Wow those cards cost more than the UPS itself, $300+ is nutty for an add-on like that

I'm not a fan of Powersonic batteries. I've found them to be substandard. I'd consider spending a bit more on a better brand, like CSB, Enersys, or Panasonic, among others.

A lithium-ion UPS would be nice but I wouldn't expect the batteries to last 20 years. Also, most SLA models don't waste a whole lot of power. Most models I've tested idle at 5W or less. The old APC Smart-UPS models were another story, burning something like 35W continuously.
