This seems incredibly dumb? Complaints are good, they prevent other people from making the same purchase and coincidentally limit complaints

I bought two similar suits a few years back from Macy's, both had holes in them within 4 wearings. I understand you don't want thread crapping but the $250ish dollars I spent was absolutely not worth it. I bought 2 wool blend suits from express in December for roughly the same price and so far they have held up much better. So I don't have a better alternative at the minute but I think the express suit deal is every year, and I'd wait for that given the option.

Can I complain about inflated BS MSRPs from Macys that try to trick us into thinking these deals are better than they are?

All I hear about such deals is a bunch of people complaining about the "lOW qUaLitY" of such suites, and no man ever shared a good "bang for a buck" suite like ever.
If you are here to complain, DON'T.
Unless you have a better alternative in the same price range.
I get your frustration, but there's no perfect post or perfect deal.

My take away from every single post about suits is that:

One of the top voted comments will state if it's totally crap material.

Multiple people will state, I got a better suit from xyz (and the majority of the time I've never heard of xyz)

Sometimes there are even comments about the seller that are warnings to stay away (though admittedly this isn't as common for suits)

That's all feedback I value.
If you need a suit today, you'll go buy whatever deal is available today. If you need a lot of suits for work (which isn't as common as it was) you will like these sorts of deals, and maybe some better quality ones too. If you are most people, you want an ok suit to look good for special occasions. In that case you'll want it to last a bit longer and be better quality (look better), so you'll wait for one of those deals even if it's a little bit more money. Let me get the complaint feedback I need to find my deal. Nobody's dying on the hill of bad suit posts, but we want bang for our buck and that looks a little different for everybody.

As a compromise, just list the material on the title of the deal, it's almost as important as price depending what you're looking for and when

I got two 100% wool Jos Bank suits last year for $100 each. Just wait for a better deal. Macys only sells plastic suits.

Spier and Mackay also have their Red Label 100% wool suits made from the worsted wool (that is not the worst wool, for those of you in Rio Linda) for $250.

All brands does this. Macy's is just showing the original MSRP. We all know it's BS unless you're desperate for it.

I have multiple Express suits and they look and feel great. They run sales every year. It's my go to brand, but only on sale because I'm cheap.

Comments are absurd. I have several Macy's suits because I rarely wear them and I don't want to drop a lot on them. Wear nice suits often? Move on. These do the trick for the rest and a buck fifty is a good price. I have zero issues with mine, but completely acknowledge that they are far from top of the line. Thanks OP

Stretch & suit just don't go together.

I've gotten many good suit deals from them as well, but I think those days are over at Jos A Bank. I've been routinely checking their site and it's been a long time since they have had pricing like they used to have on their specials.

If you see Macy's and $100ish price then it is almost guaranteed that the suit is not wool.
but not everyone wants a wool suit. i honestly don't know how suits are falling apart for you guys. i have bought cheap and expensive suits, they're ultimately the same. it's all brand placebo.

How do you find out about the Express suit deal ? Was there a thread?

I'm just here to complain about your misspelling of "suit."
Not about the "lOW qUaLitY" ?
