Just let you know the latest pixel ota broke phone calls and text on visible/Verizon for some. Google hasn't acknowledged or rolled out a fix over two weeks.
Calls being reported going straight to voicemail and text being delayed.
I would save the money on this poor SOC and get a Samsung or OnePlus. At this point, only thing holding pixel is camera but you can install gcam mod for that.

Truly annoying, but I found this workaround a while back.

1)Open Dialer
2)Dial *#*#4636#*#*
3)Phone Information
4)Set Preferred Network Type
5)Choose what network you want

Just initiated a trade of my pixel 7 pro for this last night (230 trade in). Feels like my pixel 7 pro was starting to crap out so I wanted to pull the trigger on something new.

The only issue I have with the pixel 8 is the Bluetooth not staying on, so when I get in my car it doesn't always connect

Holy cow is this why I'm having issues with my 6a?! I have Tello as my service though. Only a few people I've tried but it goes straight to voicemail.

*edit - I guess all the people Ive had issues with have Verizon
