Such a cool-looking car with great features. It seems most of the problems come down to shitty software, which will improve over time, but not if the company goes bankrupt. Too risky for me.
Looks almost identical to the Kia Niro Hybrid which sells for about 30K and gets 52 MPG and Kia is still inbusiness.

0-60 in 8.9 seconds vs 3.7 seconds - world of difference in terms of driving experience. And I'd say the Fisker looks much nicer. But yeah, I'll definitely take the car that is serviceable over the one that's a living nightmare to deal with.
LOL, Waiting for the rest to follow suit so the industry can focus on advanced Hybrid and Hydrogen tech. This Battery tech is a few decades away if that. They need to find a replacement for strip mining in Africa to make these "GREEN" car batteries.
lol, ok. Let's revisit this in half a decade or so when BYD and the like has turned our car market upside down. Of course, our government could stop them from entering, I suppose.
Also, it's bonkers to buy this vehicle given Fisker's issues.

You are getting downvoted but are 100% correct. Hydrogen is better in every measureable way over current battery tech. Needing to charge a battery (assuming you can even find a working charger) for more than 10 mins is a barrier to wide adoption. Fuel cells are the true future. Fisker makes fun cars. Thanks for the post OP.
Drivers may split their required 10-hour off-duty period, as long as one off-duty period (whether in or out of the sleeper berth) is at least 2 hours long and the other involves at least 7 consecutive hours spent in the sleeper berth
You realize breaking up the 10 hours makes your argument worse right?
The Tesla semi can charge to 70% in 30 minutes.
If they take a 2 hour break after driving the first 500 miles the can now go another 350 miles before taking their 30 minute break to add another 350 miles of range.... so by the time the mandatory 7 hour break comes around they've had 1200 miles of range.
Thanks for making it even more clear this is a total non-issue for EV semis!
There's a reason so many traditional semi companies are also working on these not just Tesla- they know it's the (much cheaper to operate) future of trucking.

Interesting you don't think any driver could average 75mph over a 14 hour period to reach 1000mi. (including 30min break at some point)
He legally can not, because there's not any 1000 mile route where 75 mph is legal the whole way... in most states semis have a max of 70- a handful are higher but most are not... and in some it's quite a bit lower (55 max in California for example, but 65 max in many states on rural interstates, and lower on other roads) But again, even if there WERE this isn't an issue thanks to the mandatory breaks required.
Get up from sleeping-- drive 500 miles, take a 30 minute break as required, drive another 350 miles with the charge you got, take your 2 hour break as part of your 10, drive another 150 miles and you're already at 1000 total miles and still have over 200 miles more range on the truck when you have to take your other 8 hours (to total 10) off time, meaning it's trivial to wake up to a fully charged truck again.
But on top of that- the MAJORITY OF ALL truck routes are 500 miles or less- and have been dropping over time.
ATRI says routes of fewer than 500 miles now represent 63 percent of all truck trips.

Average length of haul has fallen in kind. American Truck Associations (ATA) pegged the average haul at 527 miles in 2017; it had been nearly 800 at the turn of the century.

Most of the homes in my neighborhood are two physician families, average household income in here is probably half a million or more, no one gives a damn about gas prices, especially since they are generally written off anyway. My monthly fuel bill is like $150, why on earth do you think that tiny amount of money would be a reason for me to run and get an EV? My utility bills in the winter are about $500 and my property taxes are almost 4 figures a month. My house insurance is like $350 a month but yeah that reduction in a fuel bill by buying an EV, that's going to make all the difference. 😂 If I switch to an EV I should be able to charter a yacht or jet like I have always want to do.
You have very vague understanding on how well off people count money and how they make it. 90% of my area (with actual $500k+ income) have solar panels on their mcmansions and rivian/teslas. If it's not an EV it's a range rover/super car/muscle car.

Meh if you're really intrigued by the idea of owning one I would just buy it used. So many people are dumping it for even cheaper now running for the exit.
I hope this causes another big price cut for Tesla. That will make me very happy. I want a Tesla.
Not sure why it would, its a competitor going out of business which is a big reason for Tesla cut throat prices, as once these cars are all gone its over. One less competitor now in there way so it may cause a price uptick.

Hydrogen is not even available for refueling across the US. It would take several years to build out fueling stations for hydrogen.

Wow... a LOT of insane misinformation here overnight--(some pretty clearly intentional, some not) consolidating replies:
Dude, this is an insanely good post! You made some great points. 👏🏼 I also hope SD appreciates the fact that I didn't quote your entire post in order to make this 3 sentence reply! 😂

69k version that was bought two months ago barely holding 20k on the used market now. So considering that paying 38k new is still way to high.
