The government subsides EV heavily. Hydrogen is way much better.
Lucid and Rivian only attracts certain customers because of its high price point. If I was to buy one of them, I wouldn't justify the high cost of them.
How can hydrogen be much better? There is no infrastructure in place across the US. let alone the world.
Anyone think about getting this just for the bidirectional charging. I have a 26kw (not a misprint) solar system. The top model has a 106kwh battery.
Tesla power walls are 13.5kwk. It would take 8 power walls or 100-120k in Tesla power walls to equal the ocean
Dies the voltage of the battery impact what kw total use you get out of it? Each powerwall weighs 250 lbs so 2,000 lbs for 8.
Dang actually you may be right. These EVs are heavy af
I just bought a 2023 Ford Lightning Pro SR for 38k OTD price. Also trade in my 05 Tacoma for an extra 10k off. There are deals out there but not sure if Fisker is worth the risk
The tax credit is stupid. I make over the limit myself so I can't qualify when buying. But if I waste money leasing they'll give it to me lmao. Bought a 911 instead.
The difference is if you buy an EV you are not required to unbutton the top four buttons of your shirt or flip your combover to cover the hairline.

Having owned hybrids for over 10 years I can say hybrids and plug in hybrids have most the disadvantages of ICE vehicles, if not more due to the complexity of having both electric and ICE drive trains. Dealing with regular maintenance, blown head gaskets, brakes, shocks.
Having all Electric for over 5 years I've only had to buy tires, washer fluid and cabin air filters.
I totally agree with EV maintenance costs being far far lower than an ICE vehicle. I have an EV for 2 years now and with almost 54K miles in, the only time I have visited the service center is for washer fluid refill and for checking the tire tread depth. So if a person can afford an EV and has good access to public or private charging infrastructure and if the car is from a good established manufacturer then I see no reason for not getting an EV over an ICE. Guaranteed savings over the lifetime!!

PSA: Ignore this person. Do not buy a hydrogen fuel car unless you want to abandon it after its range reaches zero or you happen to have a hydrogen fuel station nearby and zero intent to use the car for road trips.
I'm curious what happened to all the early adopters that bought at full price over the last few months..now seeing the same car priced at 40% cheaper.
A guy I know bought one full price and just got his delivered about a month ago. He's extremely upset and isn't sure what he's going to do. He owes a lot more on the car than it's now worth and he was only planning on keeping the car for a few years. He has encountered a lot of software bugs on the vehicle already, and that was something he was expecting but he was counting on Fisker to gradually improve the software, though that is likely to be vastly different given the business circumstances.

The problem is that if the company is going down the drain like everyone is speculating, the software side required for bi-directional charging will never mature. Fisker was supposed to working with Quasar with their wallbox but I don't think it was ever completed, was it?
He just threw his money away as for hydrogen and hybrid vehicles they've been trying to push those since the late 60s early 70s and it hasn't worked so I think we can see where that's going the same place the electric vehicles are going

My sister bought a Model 3 in 2022 for at least $10k more than what it is now. At least she didn't buy a Fisker now I guess.

The company is a joke of a penny stock and is trading at 20 cents per share. over $600m unpaid liability ready for default.
The "CFO" of this joke of a company is the guy's wife.
The "global head of marketing" is this guy's daughter, who has a "degree" in some "fashion institute".
And you want to give him $37,499?
LOL
