Too bad, this was one of the better-looking EVs in the market.
Of course, after Model Y : )
Model Y specifically? You should just say Tesla. Outside of the S all models pretty much look the same.

I am no Tesla hater and respect what the brand has done for the EV market and really tech/safety driving features in general. But the Tesla "look" is definitely getting a bit tired.

China isn't way way ahead. Chinese EVs simply have way way more government subsidies. People buying it because the government is losing money on the cars they are selling. A deal for consumers. Only a few out of nearly 100 EV startups in China are around. If will grow as long as subsidies are there.
Yep that what Tesla says about BYD now BYD is the largesr EV maker in the world

stop wasting your time

suggest you watch some China EV cars they are killing it and way ahead of the US market

Having owned hybrids for over 10 years I can say hybrids and plug in hybrids have most the disadvantages of ICE vehicles, if not more due to the complexity of having both electric and ICE drive trains. Dealing with regular maintenance, blown head gaskets, brakes, shocks.

Having all Electric for over 5 years I've only had to buy tires, washer fluid and cabin air filters.
Pretty sure Toyota has proven that hybrid tech can go an easy 300,000 miles and battery replacement is much less expensive. Heck, my friend's 2015 hybrid Fusion just hit 258,000 with regular maintenance. Oil changes on hybrids are every 10,000 miles Nice thing is, you can fill up in 5 minutes and have 500-600 mile range until the next 5 minute pit stop.

I can only agree that China EVs cars are killing it, that's because of low price. US car manufacturers will be doomed if they continue to do what they are doing and protect the Unions. Either move the plants out of the US and heavily rely on robots. Union laborers are a burden for car manufacturers. On top of that, China has substantial subsidies provided to BYD and even the battery company. The US car market can only be protected by policy within the US but not by markets outside of the US. No one can build EV under $10K. Simple math. So, it is the low price that's what kills it.

i've only owned hondas, subarus, and toyotas due to their incredible reliability. i've yet to step outside that trio, but given this sizzling deal, and my life experience with their garden tools and scissors, i feel confident making this purchase.

Apparently not BYD latest car in just below 10k. US car are too Big stop buying SUV ridiculous vehicles poor mileage small room no trunk US car makers love them because of the profit margins.

Nissan and Mitsubishi just announced to produce a small electric truck

Slick Deals has been nothing but an arm of Reddit for some time now.
The amount of cringe in the typical thread is remarkable.

Price comes at a cost. Ain't no country going to want these Chinese controlled things on their roads.

I am a consumer. I got 2. I like to laugh at the people standing at gas stations in -20 in MN as I drive on by with the full tank I filled for $2 while I slept.

Don't waste money on this. If you want Electric, Model Y is better choice by far. Atleast you know there will be a service center available if something goes wrong
It's similar price after rebates as well and they also throw in free charging miles from time to time

Great price….but I will take my diesel truck that does 700 miles on a tank. Electric price in San Francisco Bay Area already too high.

For around town use my e-bike and my truck for road trips and leaving the city.

I wonder if anyone was able to buy one. If you search any state they show same inventory. Reddit full of people saying they can't reach anyone.
Whether you like the sale or not, it feels like no one will be able to buy one anyway.
Fisker just trolling everyone before they disappear completely
