All he is talking about is related to software glitch. And he is not a car guy or that techy too. Don't know who take this guy seriously. My personal opinion is this is very well built and some features are too advanced. Hoping they will come up with stable software. Well no, not getting bankrupt is first.
LOL, Waiting for the rest to follow suit so the industry can focus on advanced Hybrid and Hydrogen tech. This Battery tech is a few decades away if that. They need to find a replacement for strip mining in Africa to make these "GREEN" car batteries.
Are you joking or trolling? Literally anyone who thinks hydrogen has a future for land vehicles hasn't been paying attention.
Literally all the evidence (not the marketing by Toyota given how heavily they've invested in a non-viable fueling model) points to hydrogen being a dead-end for the majority of transportation use-cases: infrastructure is significantly more expensive to implement than high-voltage DCFC and quite literally pointless compared to gasoline infrastructure.
I agree that hybrid technology is (theoretically) a better use of battery materials than pure BEVs, but the time to do that has passed. There is no "advanced hybrid" technology in the works in any meaningful capacity for automobiles, so I'm not sure where you're getting that from.
This whole "EVs aren't green!" BS is what conservatives and oil company shills shout from the rooftop, ignoring the fact that an EV is "greener" than a comparable petrol vehicle (including hybrids) less than 3 years after being put into service. Everything after that is a net positive.
Only naive and uninformed people doubt the immediate and profound future of BEVs. Are they a drop-in replacement for ICEVs? No, of course not; the charging infrastructure isn't there, yet, and battery tech needs refinement to fit the niche use-cases that people always use to justify their silly arguments against BEVs. But BEVs will have price parity with ICEVs in only a few years and ICEVs will become the option only for those afraid of change or those who have a legitimate use-case that can't be met by BEVs.
I'm guessing you're one of those ignorant and afraid-of-change types.
Fisker is going bankrupt. Where and who will service these cars?
I recently had birds or mice attack my car twice in one month. I really shudder to think what would have happened if my car were EV. Now, it was just the engine air filter and throttle body but if it were something more complicated in an EV, I don't know if anyone in my city could fix it. It would probably have to be towed a long ways. No one even seems to want to fix EVs. I knew a kid whose dad was a mechanic and after an incident with the electrical in a car, said he didn't like working on that in cars.
I can't believe this company is in this position. I remember getting into one of their EVs back in 2010 at a show and it was so cool. they were ahead of the curve
do not buy it warning from Edmund lol. I suspect in 20 years, these will be worth a small fortune if they really go out of business and stop producting any https://www.edmunds.com/car-news/...ocean.html
Nobody even wants them now. They won't be worth a fortune in 20 years.
You're incredibly biased and lacking in credibility. Sorry. Reality completely disagrees with your assessment of EVs. Also, they've been around since the 19th century and this is as good as it's gotten. Some people are just obsessed with making EVs happen, don't know why. Maybe it's the movies, I don't know. We DON'T need EVs and they're not better than gas. Just ridiculous.
I'm biased toward reality and facts, yes. I get that some people are afraid of the obvious and prefer their clouded worldview because it makes them feel safe. Whatever helps you sleep at night, I guess.
I didn't actually claim that EVs were blanket "better than gas". Because I'm reasonable and (obviously) more objective than you, I acknowledged that the charging infrastructure isn't there, nor is battery tech at a place where it can compete with petrol in all circumstances. Do you understand what I'm saying? Because it seems that you - who accused me of being biased - are failing to understand that I am quite literally saying that BEVs are not displacing petrol vehicles...yet.
The difference between you and me is that I can see farther than my own nose. I guess my "bias" is that I understand technology you don't, and clearly have the ability to think farther than my own tiny pocket of reality. You silly anti-EV crowd are certainly entitled to your MAGA hats and opinions; you can even close your eyes in 5 years when EVs are impossible to ignore. Thankfully, I live in a progressive area where folks with means are happy to subsidize the technology so that eventually you neophobes can pay less to join the rest of us.

I was one of them. Then i canceled for a Tesla instead since they are longer range and half the price.
This comment doesn't even make sense. The R2 is it even going to come out for another two years. So you pre-ordered a Rivian R2 but then canceled it for a new Tesla?

It makes sense that sales would decrease some after many many other EVs have entered the market and created more competition. Tesla still owns the best selling car on the planet.
