Dont buy this. Got this deal via ebay, unit immediately made a clicking noise when rotating. Stopped working after a week. Dyson told me to ship to them for a replacement, I did took over a month and numerous phone calls to get them to send a unit. It arrived a week after it shipped, I plugged it in and it instantly tripped my surge protector and reeked of electrical smoke. Worst customer service I've ever experienced and horrible QC on products.

I don't know, always liked Dyson products. Maybe a bad unit or two

I have bought many Dyson products over the years and currently own 4 fans, 2 vacuums, and my wife owns 2 of their hair products. Though I don't doubt those who say they've had issues, I personally haven't had any problems with mine. I wouldn't buy them at full MSRP but at this price I might buy another one.

Temperature control on App is DISABLED in US, so no scheduling on any function related to temp. App is only for turn on/off fans. To use temperature function , users have to use remote.

By the way, the display on the unit is TINY so it's impossible to see the current unit status for distance, which is where you would hold and use the remote. It's silly and not a good user experience
came to post both of these points and one more.

the power draw on this thing is ridiculous. i can see why some were posting that their circuits were tripping. even when the heater is barely blowing, it's still pulling upwards of 1500 watts, there is no "low" "medium" "high" settings, you just set the tempature and it goes on it's own, but again, even when it's barely blowing heat it's easily twice the wattage as some other units I've had in the past. I get that it's "also purifying", but it's just too much.

Probably biggest complaint for me though is the lack of the smart app control...

OH, thought of a 4th thing, it doesn't have onboard buttons for everything. As an example, if you end up losing or breaking the remote control, you can't use the heater!

Don't buy it. It's absolutely waste of money. I have 2 of these. You have to keep buying expensive filters to keep it running like you expect from a heater or a fan.

Also, one of them keeps giving me the F0 overheat error, the heat will immediately stop working and just blast air at full power. I keep it in the toddler's room to keep the room warm while they sleep, ends up I have to move a $30 lasko room heater that had I had been using the past 10 years. My oldest is 4 and I bought it when she was born because I think it is "safe" and "reliable."

If you use Hubitat or Home Assistant, this limitation can be overcome.

It's a bit hit and miss getting these to connect right away. Make sure the wifi is turned on by holding the power button on the machine for 5 seconds. Try connecting a few times, then just leave it plugged in for a couple hours and try to connect again. I think they sometimes need to update themselves and/or let their sensors calibrate before they will link up to the Dyson app.

Just got mine from Dyson and exactly what you said: smoke smell and the exclamation mark error on the monitor. WTF. Also see a lot of exclamation mark error complaints online. Feels like they know the defect of this model and they're still selling it.
