Gives you a lot of options to change.
I have to say VERY impressed for a midrange receiver.
Even in a smaller room with some bookshelf and satellite old Mirage speakers Dirac RC sounds good.

I picked up mine for $673. It was in perfect condition, but missing the microphone
The amplifier is suspect. [audiosciencereview.com] So I picked up a Topping PA7 (used on Amazon for $260) to run the fronts. Sounds fantastic. Other amp options for SDers are:
Dirac is awesome. My system sounds great even without wall treatments, speakers too close to the walls, and a big chair in front of the front left speaker! LOL
But for the life of me, I can't figure out how to connect the RZ50 to Google to use it as a Chromecast. Google Home searches for a new Chromecast device but can never find it.
The Onkyo app is surprisingly good. Easy to use. And you can easily switch to 3 different Dirac profiles. And you can play music from a very wide variety of music sources, all without turning on the TV.
But no Youtube Music for me because, again Chromecast isn't working Grr!

I knew the amp/power supply was not this units strong point. Its as if they built it to be a be prepro if you were going to run more power hungry speakers or listen at reference levels.
The 28lbs of the unit somewhat gives that away.
Otherwise I assume they think you will step to the RZ70( or its Integra twin) and get the much more powerful amp/power supply and better DACs
Both units, IMO, are stellar picks even at their MSRP
For me it was 100% impulse buy. I was trolling the Best Buy outlet in Cincinnati, when I was there working for a few days. I saw this unit(and its price) and thought how could I go wrong.

But $2,800 is a tough pill to swallow for some.
That's why I went with the RZ50 with an external amp instead
