Word of warning here, this bare tool is completely useless unless you already have or are willing to buy the bushing set to go with it. The bushings are the pieces to go on the end to make it work with different gauges of wire, without them this is a great looking paperweight for your toolbox......

What incredible timing. I was looking to buy one last night and held off because my cat threw up on the rug. I forgot to go back and purchase afterwards.
I used one of these a friend loaned me and it's a real time saver.
It doesn't appear that all the sizes come with this one, but I'll only need a few and they aren't expensive.
Thanks OP!

I didn't even know this was a thing and don't need one....but now I want one. And... "Depth gauge of the heavy duty cable cutter consistently strips cable up to 4 inches in diameter"

Good lord, isn't that like power line size cables?

Looks like the length of strip can be set to up to 4".
Cable diameter is stated to be #6 - 750 MCM Cu/900 MCM Al.

Yesterday I ordered a crimper that goes up to 600MCM that I will only very occasionally need... Will try to resist ordering this because what I do can easily be handled with a utility knife given how seldom I make cables... But timing of this seems like an omen...

Does this come with all the bushing within the stated diameter range?
I'm guessing within that product weight (if accurate), it does not.

These look interesting, might buy to try them out. Anyone used this kind before?

This is one tool I would virtually never use. Rather than in for one, I will decline despite the massive discount on it.

FYI, that will be cheaper from Temco's own website and they also have free shipping.

70 bucks new on ebay. Great item and as an old sparky I could appreciate having a charged stripper in the tool set. Butt...unless your tugging industrial or commercial services and feeders it will keep its clothes on.
