I agree with you... To the comment that thinks that most SoCal residents have season passes, that's insane to even think that. Where did this info come from? It's probably the opposite. I've been a SoCal resident from +50yrs and haven't visited Disneyland in 20yrs. Disney lost their magic a long time ago... definitely not somewhere you can go to enjoy with family any more. From the park prices, to the food, the lines to the employees that don't want to be there. Take ur money and go on a cruise or to an all inclusive resort.
Live in socal and don't have season passes. It's such a trap

Most people that live in Socal have the season passes. Now that they charge almost $800 a night for a hotel room on property, you'd think that they would give people a discount on tickets. Those Florida ticket deals posted on here a few days ago where it was like $74 a park per day for four days, was for everybody. Even people that don't live in Florida. It's also weird that these can only be used during the week, because the Florida equivalent to this ticket can be used any day of the week. I guess Walt Disney World must be really hurting for guests right now. They even got rid of needing a reservation to get into the Florida parks. Which I wish that the Anaheim parks would do, because even if you buy a ticket, there is no guarantee that you will actually be let into the park.
Something like 30 million people live within driving distance to Disneyland. With high travel costs a lot of people have opted for staycations which means maybe they drive to Disneyland where they used to fly to Orlando.

This directly increases Disneyland demand, while people across America staying local directly hurts Disney World.

And nobody plans a trip centered around Universal Studios. Its okay, but isn't in the same league. If they could you know they would. None of them give a shit about us at the end of the day.

Uh…, I live in Southern CA and it is definitely NOT true that most of us have season passes. Have you seen the season pass prices?? They are nearly $1k each, hardly something that most of us want to spend money on. I may go once every 3-5 years, if that.

Disney stopped selling Magic Keys for most of 2023 due to crowds and a lawsuit from Magic Key holders who claim Disney oversold the Magic Keys so keyholders were unable to attend the parks when they wanted to. Before then, the two most expensive keys were sold out for awhile. Now, it seems to have flipped as the two cheapest keys are now sold out.

I went to school in LA long back, but I do not reside in SoCal now. Is there a way to avail this discount?
Yes. Get a CA ID with the right postal code, doesn't need to be a drivers license. I haven't even been living in the state but have done this for years using a friend's address

Wish there was a 1-day pass at $70... 35 mile drive from west la is generally 1-1.5 hours each way. Thanks though Serra Smilie
I know right. 1 day is good enough for me.

I am looking to buy this option:

3-Day 1-Park Per Day Ticket SoCal Resident Monday - Thursday Only Promo SoCal Residents $70.00 PER DAY (Save $180.00)

Can we use this offer to visit the park once a week? or it has to be three sequence days?

They always sell out, so somebody must be buying them.
A lot of people who bought passes every year dumped them when Disney changed the reservation system and made them much more of a hassle to use without planning a visit. It's a glorified multi-use ticket, not a season pass, with all the hoops you have to jump thru since Covid. And now the genie bs instead of fast passes means Disney wants more of your money or wait in longer lines

They offer three days because they know many people who buy them will only use one or two days. And then it's not really a deal anyway

Disney is the worst. Not to mention all their bad history with the creepy park employees getting arrested. I'll spare the details, but look it up

You can spread them out as you choose. I myself went on 2/15 and my next trip is in April and my last one at the end of May.

If you haven't been in 20 years, perhaps your perspective is out of date. I've been twice this year and had completely the opposite experience. This deal made the cost reasonable, and the new rides and SW experiences were fun. The app makes it easier to use reservations to avoid the longest lines, and both times the employees were very engaging and friendly. We have several fun pictures with cast members.

I have 1 visit left, but that one will be California Adventure. Fingers crossed I end up 3 for 3 on the enjoyable visit scorecard.

Also, inclusive resorts and cruises are full of people getting drunk so they get their money's worth. I can do without that vibe, thanks.
