1776.08 to be there Star Wars Weekend at the Pixar Pier Hotel, and you get a $200 Disney gift card. Not too bad. Tempted to do this, since my birthday is Star Wars day, and I still have never been to Galaxy's Edge. I imagine that the park will be insane that day, but my parents used to take me to Disney all of the time as a kid, so there are only seven or eight rides that I have never been on. So I wouldn't be too disappointed, if I didn't get to do some. I also heard that the whole Haunted Mansion area of the park is basically closed right now. Which is disappointing, but maybe that's why these deals are relatively cheap. Pixar Pier Hotel also warns you that they will probably be doing construction during your stay. But, that doesn't really bother me, because we would be at Disneyland from opening to close anyway.

Been skipping Disney for a while now. Last time we went the magic was gone. Kids loved the Disney cruise so much better than the parks.

Overcrowded parks...everything is an extra fee. Everywhere you go at Disney is a money grab opportunity. People expecting 25% tips on already super inflated prices. The experience has deteriorated so much in the past 10 years alone.

I compared this to the exact booking we made a few months ago for this upcoming June. The Costco package is $1500 more expensive for the IDENTICAL package except Costco comes with the $200 GC and the lanyard.

I really don't see this as a deal at all. Still way too expensive overall.

We spent 8K doing a self-booked 10 day trip to Disney and Universal. Cost us about 8K for a family of 4. We had an incredible trip. We drove to Florida from Maine. Stayed near the parks in a house with full kitchen (Airbnb). Got our food at Costco Orlando and carried our own meals into the parks (yes, it's allowed with some restrictions -- look it up). I just don't understand how people are paying these crazy resort prices when they have a family in tow.

We booked May 5-10 for $4600 for 4 (flights, hotel, car). $1254 back in Costco cards, making it essentially $3346 if you consider those as cash. It's quite a deal for Aulani, and even most 4+* hotels on most islands.

I had just booked a value resort trip for two weeks with 10 day Park Hopper+ for 2 adult guests. Booked through Disney using gift cards for all. $3910.00 tax included - 5% discount on Gift cards =$3714.50
Same trip in every way through Costco $3841.36
Couldn't you have bought the trip via costco and then used the discounted giftcards to pay for the trip? I booked a disney trip through costco travel last year in September and used a gift card to pay a small part of it.

I bought disney giftcards when they were discounted and plan to book a trip via costco which usually provides another 100+ giftcard. I'm a Northern California resident (Disneyland was supposedly providing a discount on tickets) and when I compared booking it myself versus Costco (not a disney hotel) it was pretty much the same minus the giftcard and pins so it was a no brainer to go with Costco last time.

Went last year for kiddos bday and man galaxy's edge was such a fun experience. Yeah it'll be pandemonium for sure but sounds like a fun once in a life time thing for your birthday. If you have the means and the will, who knows if you'll ever see a better "deal" than this.

Well, my Dad has Disney Vacation Club so he might be able to get me a stay at one of the Disney Hotels for free, so I just found out that I may just have to pay for the tickets and a plane down to Anaheim from the Sacramento area. But depending on Flight prices, I might just fly out from Oakland or San Francisco instead, since they usually tend to have better deals flying to the LA area.

Uh…..Costco has been offering a Costco cash card for booking their Disney cruises for almost a year now. Wish there were more perks though.

Don't be fooled by some of the "included extras" for Disney World. The below items are included with your resort stay even if you book on your own...

- Transportation to the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Disney Springs®
- Complimentary standard parking at all Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Disney Springs
- Complimentary standard overnight self-parking at the hotel
- Early Theme Park Entry

They do offer a discount on the resort stay, so that's good. Jut don't like how they make it seem like these are extras they are offering by booking through them.
When did they start offering parking for free? I stayed at Caribbean resort a few years back thinking I would avoid the parking cost. I was wrong, its itemized in the checkout bill. At least it was back then, was like $25 a day or something.

You aren't including the gift cards right then. You get at least $200 Costco cash and at least $200 Disney gift card.

We have booked through Costco the past few times and even with benefits through work or USAA on tickets/hotels, it's always cheaper through Costco once you factor in gift cards
