There are other speaker stand options with a thicker tube if you don't want to mess with cutting cables.
There are few cons with the soundbar besides not supporting hdmi 2.1 and 120 Hz.
1) if you connect your streaming device directly to the soundbar so that you can pass all the audio directly to the soundbar you tend to get a black screen quite often for a few seconds every time in the beginning.
2) No dual stereo mode, vizio soundbars have this feature which make the rear surround pass the center channel.
3) Reducing the center channel to 0 doesn't work. While watching a game, I wanted to tune out the commentary but keep the crowd noise but wasn't able to completely mute the center channel but keep the surrounds going.
4) The upscaling feature to 11.2 can be little bad when you are playing true 7.1 surround. This is a true 7.1 system so just be aware of that.
