because gold has been demonetizing silver for years now. Sucking up all the value of silver into gold. Next Bitcoin will do the same to gold.

I, personally, have a hard time trading in $2000 for $1900 worth of gold just so I can have physical gold. Now if I can trade $2k for $2k worth of gold, then I might consider it. Better yet, if I can trade $1950 for $2k worth of gold, I'm even more convinced.
I like platinum, silver, palladium and rhodium, but I can't swallow the premium that is charged just to obtain them.
