It says it in OP's description, but just a reminder these are only 91.67% fine gold unlike every other gold offering I've seen from Costco.
This is not true. This coin is simply heavier than other coins. The gold melt is the same, 1 Troy oz.
FYI, this is a premium coin that you can sell for over spot. You can check the buyback price at:

https://www.moneymetals.com/2024-...e-coin/966

If purchased at Costco for $2300 - 2% Costco Executive Cashback - 2% Citibank Costco Castback, you're paying $2,208.

The site will currently buy it back from you for $2,250.

$2,250 - $2,208 = $42 profit.

If you buy 5 and sell 5 coins, you would profit $42 x 5 = $210 right off the bat.

With the price of gold up today, this site is buying these back for $2263 each instead of the $2250 I listed earlier.

$2263 - 2208 = $55 profit per coin or $275 for 5 coins.

If not looking for specific coin, then other coins or bars (.999 Fine) available for investment on other sites for 2245 at today's gold rate.

Show the link of a website that is selling a 1oz .999 gold coin for spot. I won't hold my breath for that link. Quit talking nonsense. Troll behavior.

The reason that's still in stock is because of the higher premium. It contains 1 troy oz pure gold, which is roughly worth 2200 dollars, as same as the other 24k 1 troy oz gold bar.

More for me!

This coin gross weight is 33.93 grams, with a gold fineness of .9167 giving it an AGW of 1 troy ounce.

Okay help a novice out: Is this the same as the uncirculated US Mint golden eagle?

Essentially, but US Mint comes with a much higher premium and a fancy box.

These don't sell at gold spot price, especially if it's not 99.99%. unless it becomes a collectable.

On the flip side, you don't have to pay 2-3% commission when you buy 1oz gold nuggets.
Correct, you can usually sell them for over spot price. Who is selling gold nuggets for spot?

because gold has been demonetizing silver for years now. Sucking up all the value of silver into gold. Next Bitcoin will do the same to gold.

I've got to me missing something. $2300 tied up for almost a year until the Costco rewards get paid out to make 2.5% profit?

It's not tied up at all, you can sell the coin the day you receive it and get majority of your $ back that day. You'd be down a bit but your credit card rewards kick it in a few weeks then costco rewards kick in on your renewal date.

Nope, you didn't miss a thing. I'm not suggesting anyone do this to make a quick buck. I'm only saying people should buy gold at Costco because they can get it for lower than spot and are already in the black instead of buying from other places where they are in the red because of the premiums paid.

I, personally, have a hard time trading in $2000 for $1900 worth of gold just so I can have physical gold. Now if I can trade $2k for $2k worth of gold, then I might consider it. Better yet, if I can trade $1950 for $2k worth of gold, I'm even more convinced.

I like platinum, silver, palladium and rhodium, but I can't swallow the premium that is charged just to obtain them.
