Your SIM will come via UPS shipping in a small white padded mailer with a UPS label stuck to it. The padded envelope is very lightweight and can blow away in the wind if left on a porch outside. Watch your tracking and delivery date and plan accordingly! My SIM almost blew away in the wind except I heard the UPS truck leaving and ran out there just in time to grab it as the wind carried it onto my lawn.
SIM will auto activate on the day it is scheduled to be delivered unless you tell them you are porting in an existing phone number.
If you wish to attempt to use an ATT flavor of the Boost SIM to activate your new prepaid service you MUST choose to port in an existing number. Some people say they have had success using ATT flavor of Boost SIM to activate with even though the SIM you will recieve is going to be T-mobile flavor of Boost SIM. Do not assume you can make this deal work with an ATT flavor of Boost SIM, it's absolutely YMMV.
With certain apps you can use all the data when doing a hotspot regardless of what Boost says. But the best apps for this purpose are not free. Some apps are free but have limitations. These apps are like a proxy server and Boost can't see you are doing a hotspot so they can't block it. This tricks works for most other carriers too. Just make sure your specific device can run these apps reliably.

Note: eSim locked devices from other carriers are NOT allowed to activate on Boost as the locked phone is bound to the activation server policy for the original carrier until it's unlocked from that carrier.

Note: Even though the plus sign '+' is valid per email address RFC standards, many web-sites reject such email addresses (violating the aforementioned RFC standards). Gmail ignores the period '.' character in the username part of e-mail addresses, so you could change it to 'user.name' or 'us.er.na.me' and so forth to sign up under a new email address at Boost (i.e. [email protected]) while still receiving emails sent to those alternate period-based usernames in your main account's inbox.
P.S. Outlook.com / Hotmail, I believe, honors the '+' sign alias syntax but am not sure it ignores the period '.' character in usernames.

During the activation flow you'll be given the option to port in your current phone number, and be asked for the relevant details (account number w/your existing provider, transfer PIN, etc) -- you get these details from your existing carrier (e.g. Mint).
It didn't give me any options, I clicked on "Shop Phones" section but it said to activate my phone first to see any offers, so it give me 0 phones to purchase
Can we buy now and activate after 4 months? Of course by selecting that we are porting number

It took me a while to mess around and figured out that the Boost esim was messing with the whole thing. When I turned off that line my phone worked fine but when I turned that line back on it would go into SOS. Their support sucked and I just gave up and deleted the line altogether.
YMMV but that has been my experience as of last year.
