Banana pancakes is a game changer for old bananas. The banana ratio is way higher than banana bread so you can really make a dent in the old banana supply,
I saved your comment. That's a great idea!

single fresh banana...
Swiping right
yeah, and it's "select" target stores, so you could ideally spend your Easter saturday driving around a region, looking for Targets, parking, dealing with the inside hassle, on the *chance* of scoring an eight cent 'nanner.

If you succeed please post up results. I think I'll just go to the grocery store and buy a banana bunch for like a buck fifty and do the math later

Trader Joes recently quietly raised the price of banana from 19 cents each to 23 each. Can't blame them. It's been 19 cents each forever.
That was the first thing that went through my mind when I was scrolling down the front page and saw this.

….I'm on my way to Target right now! 🍌
Just go to customer service and ask for your 21 cents back. Request 3 coins.

You spend more in the energy you paying for the freezer than what you save.
The purpose of buying a large amount and freezing them is less to do with taking advantage of the savings and more to do with having them as cold as possible for the smoothies, in order to replace the use of ice.

And if you're going to go through the trouble of pre-cutting and freezing a whole lot of bananas, it's a lot easier to do in bulk, and might as well be when there's a sale.

anyone got this in NYC? stopped by a Target store with fresh produce and the price is $0.35 each. Employees said they are not aware of any discount for bananas.

My Brooklyn stores all show $.35 each online. If it was $.08 each I would order a single banana for in store pickup.

From what I've seen so far, it looks like this was just at a single store and nobody else has gotten it anywhere.

Our local Walmart has them for 15 cents a lb.

Picked some up for banana wine last week and they still had them yesterday.
