I'm already invested in DEWALT flexvolt and was planning on getting the new 60v blower. Anyone know how this compares?

I have the 60v it works well but you need to wear hearing protection with it. I have blown leaves from the back to the front no problem. I believe the ego is more powerful. Not sure the margin of difference though.

You should use hearing protection with any competent lead blower.

If you want to go through the trouble, buying the Amazon listing for blower with the free battery and returning the free battery brings the price down to like $203 for the base kit with 5ah battery.

I agree. No need for a gas blower. This battery powered blower does everything I need and then some. I was very surprised by the power this thing has. I recommend the 5.0 battery though. One charge, even 2 years later of frequent use, it still holds up with one charge to get the job done

Yes. This thing super rips. It rules. Honestly, my one gripe is how can this thing possibly have longevity with so much output? time will tell I guess, but so far IT RIIIPS!

Is the difference from the backpack blower THAT significant though? Do you find the weight of this one to be more of an issue since you don't have the convenience of the backpack?
