Stick drift is caused by wear on the carbon trace, not dust

Though none of my Xbox controllers have developed stick drift, I do find it awfully telling that M$ only offers a 90 day warranty when they used to offer 12 months.

Unless you need a pretty controller, find a controller with Hall-effect joysticks, they can't develop stick drift. I recommend a GameSir G7 if you don't mind wired controllers, it's $45, has mappable back buttons, officially licensed for current Xboxes, has great customization software for PC.
There are probably other good choices out there too, I think 8Bitdo just released one as well. I've also seen guides on how to replace them in Microsoft's controllers, replacement Hall-effect joysticks are only like $10 for a 2-pack.

I've had 2 controllers develop sick drift within a couple months with only very light usage (one was mostly used to play only Tetris!)
Yeah and I play MVC3 and COD 2 extensively. No issue for me. Some folks are Blowing out of proportion. Don't be like them
Looks like you need to dust your house once a month
