These are on the shelves at Dollar Tree ($1.25). Don't expect this to taste like much of anything. These cans of "cheese" are nothing like the theater style cans of nacho cheese.

With that said, I'm not opposed to mixing this with some ground meat and putting it on my tortilla chips.

I highly recommend getting the medium heat so at least it tastes like something.

Pace makes some of the bet Salsa, but their nacho cheese is just straight up garbage.

No taste. Basically the same as using Campbells cheddar soup as nacho cheese.

As far as ingredients go, you could do much worse in canned cheese:
Quote :
Water, Modified Food Starch, Heavy Cream, Wheat Flour, Salt, Cheddar And Semisoft Cheese (Milk, Cultures, Salt, Enzymes), Cheese Paste (Monterey Jack Cheese [Milk, Cultures, Salt, Enzymes], Cheddar Cheese [Milk, Cultures, Salt, Enzymes], Surface Ripened Semisoft Cheese [Milk, Cultures, Salt, Enzymes], Whey, Water, Salt), Cream Cheese (Milk, Cream, Salt, Carob Bean Gum, Cultures) , Sugar, Butter (Cream, Annatto), Vegetable Oil (Corn, Canola, And/Or Soybean), Distilled Vinegar, Yeast Extract, Sour Cream (Cultured Cream, Milk), Whey Protein Concentrate, Milk, Milkfat, Natural Flavoring, Annatto Extract For Color, Lactic Acid, Vinegar, Soy Lecithin, Mustard Extract. Contains: Wheat, Milk, Soy
Nutritionals aren't the greatest, but I think the idea here is that anyone consuming would be using this as some sort of condiment. I don't think anyone pulls up going 'I think I'm going to have myself a can of nacho cheese'.

(though for those who do, no judgement - you do you)

I thought queso was Velveeta - which is whey.

Here's Juanitas queso:

CHEESE WHEY, VEGETABLE OIL (CONTAINS ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING: SUNFLOWER OIL, CANOLA OIL, SOYBEAN OIL), MODIFIED CORN STARCH, TOMATO PASTE, JALAPENO PEPPERS, SODIUM PHOSPHATE, SALT, CHEDDAR AND BLUE CHEESE (CULTURED MILK, SALT, ENZYMES), VINEGAR, MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE, NATURAL FLAVORS, ONION POWDER, MONO AND DIGLYCERIDES, COLOR ADDED (INCLUDING CARAMEL, YELLOW 5, AND YELLOW 6), SPICE. CONTAINS: MILK

Not healthy but at least has cheese stuff.

I know it's terrible, but if you have a can of this and some tortilla chips, you can make nachos in 30 seconds to be the awesome uncle.

Nacho cheese👆

We got this the last time it was on sale and my only complaint is that it's very thin/watered down. It does taste good but we ended up having to reduce it on the stove before it would coat a chip.
