I never trusted this though. Is this a thing? I change when the light turns on. Mobil will also replace your engine if it fails. But good luck proving that too
Or it's due to CAFE standards to squeeze that .1MPG.

You can also check what viscosity the rest of the world uses, so you won't be wrong. Toyota recommends different viscosity in the US as compared to Japan and Australia. Same engine, same software, same everything, different recommendations.

This price would be a good deal for regular Mobil 1 but this oil is the EP version and can go 20k miles or 1 year. Just make sure to pair it with an oil filter that can handle the extra miles. Thanks OP!

Be careful with what your manual says. Many of today's cars use complex valve train's with passages that depend on the exact viscosity of the oil to flow at exact amounts to enable cam timings.

Watch out , when you get your order double check it. Last time I did this deal for 0w-16, they sent me 0w-20. Worthless, had to refund and send it back. Lady at walmart was clueless and not helpful even though it was bought and shipped by Walmart, she said they don't sell 3 pack so they can't just exchange it.

I agree. It's not much less than the 5qt price * 3. We should get a larger discount for buying 15qt than just a few bucks.

I have a 2012 Scion tc, car calls for 10k intervals and I had a 100k warranty so I used the dealers 10k oil changes for first 5 years, got to 100k and switched to amsoil signature oil for 15k intervals. But oil is so damn expensive now, that at 200k I just got Costco afe deal and did oil change to Mobil 1 afe 33 @ 6 quarts I was going to do it every 10k

Car has 2k on it now and it's running well. I decided to go ahead and order this deal 15 quarts of EP for my Scion I might stick with 10 or 15k don't know.

Was going to stay with afe but this oil claims it cleans engine instead of afe just reducing sludge. So why not.

I have 3 oem Toyota filters in garage they are 4 a piece, and now enough oil for next 3 oil changes too. That's like 28 dollars per change. I assume oil is good for years so no issue on worrying about that.

Now my question is, I just went back to oem filter since amsoil filters have been out of stock for my car. I wonder if I can push them to 15k I know Toyota rates them for 10k since that's what my car oci is.

I do burn about half a quart in 10k miles I think. Which works out perfect being 4.6qt oil change leaving .4 for top up at 5k

"Toyota uses Mobil 1"

No, Mobil paid to have their logo on manuals/filler caps possibly but dealers buy bulk oil and when you take it in for service unless you bring your own oil, unlikely you're getting Mobil 1. I bought some at the $63 price point cause 0w16 but I don't think Mobil 1 is anything special, ymmv.

Agree. I'm only hopping on the bandwagon since Costco Carrie's Mobil 1 and it's convenient for me.

Just grabbed this deal because from reading ep > afe overall. Next 3 oil changes are covered now for less than 80 bucks give or take few bucks

I do know when I switched from dealership to amsoil signature, my car ran so much quieter, and just ran better. So their barrels are cheap crap. But still ran none the less just fine
