love how the largest national chain of burritos (Chipotle) doesn't participate!

They don't want us value-seekers patronizing them. We're too fiscally savvy for their high profit margin business models.

Chipotle does something for national burrito day every year, they will do something again this year. A lot of weird anger in here just because it hasn't been announced yet. If you don't want to eat there then don't, but being mad because you haven't seen a promo announced yet is an interesting choice

2023 promo: https://www.chipotle.com/free-burritos).

2022 promo: https://newsroom.chipotle.com/202...ipotle.com.

2021 promo: https://newsroom.chipotle.com/202...0April%201.

So forth and so on.
Chipotle was purchased by McDonald's and they are no longer the great company and restaurant they used to be.

McDonald's sold all of its stake in Chipotle nearly 20 years ago, back in 2006 when Chipotle had about 500 locations. AFAIK they're currently the largest fully corporately owned (no franchises) restaurant chain in the US at around 3,200 locations.

TL;DR: McDonalds doesn't own Chipotle and hasn't in a long, long time: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/C...ican_Grill

Does the BOGO deal only work on April 4? Did anyone got it to work today or yesterday?

Really? I find that any burrito I make at home is better AND far cheaper. I'm not sure where you shop but beans, rice, chicken, and tortillas are very cheap where I shop.
well to go buy all that stuff is gonna cost more than $8-10 at the store.......and i would use a much higher quality steak if i was making it at home.

I went today to try it out, the BOGO offer didn't work yet (at least not for me). Will have to wait until April 4th.

I'm starting to think Chipotle enjoys abusing their customers and staff. 4/4 is going to be a nightmare.

53 people winning free burritos for a year, and 150k bogo winners is non-participation?

I don't know why there has to be a National (fill in blank) Day, for everything, and who declared that everyone has to give you free shi on that day, but whatever.

Check your facts, please. McDonalds sold their stake in Chipotle something like 20 years ago. It's a publicly traded company and is not controlled by McDonald's. But haters gon' find a reason to hate, I guess. This sort of thing is why our local newspaper/online news site just published a letter form the editor titled, "Our Tr**p reporting upsets some readers, but there aren't two sides to facts." I liked it better when reality wasn't subjective and there were no "alternative facts," only BS and lies.

When did this switch to a stock market discussion? FWIW, I've always been fully vested in the stock market because I agree that over time it will net an average of 10-12% annual gain. However, I do think there are times to shift more into cash (especially now with 5% yields) and I am probably about 60% in stocks right now and 40% cash. I've been slowly increasing my cash position due to the recession that is coming though. There's nothing "vague" about my prediction and it is based off of many financial indicators that all indicate a recession is coming. If I was 25 I probably wouldn't care so much about the up and downs of the market but as you get closer to retirement your strategies change. It makes zero sense to risk a 20 to 30% portfolio loss when I can be earning a risk free 5%.
Spoken like a true pseudointellectual who is adept at throwing out a few key buzz words without saying anything of substance. Way to back up your nonargument with precisely zero actual statistics or evidence. This post probably has a lot of people nodding but it says precisely nothing. I love how you get defensive about being vague, without even being called out for that, yet that's exactly what you are. What stocks? You're in cash how, and to what end? "Coming" recession when, sometime within the next 1000 years? If I was blah blah blah, I'd probably blah blah blah too, or maybe not, which is why I threw out a random hypothetical and qualified it with a great get out of jail word like probably. That's brilliant! We've got a financial genius almost on the level of Jim Cramer or Larry Kudlow, folks, but just the BS and incompetence part, not the part where they got rich because people believed their BS.

Damn, now I need a burrito or something.

Anyone knows if I can stack a $4 off for signing up text in Rubios on top of the $8.99 offer?

I am a vegetarian. Only time I eat out a burrito in these chains is when we don't want to cook at home. My financial head can't digest to pay 12 bucks for rice, beans, cheese, some veggies and sauces wrapped in a tortilla. I can probably make 5 at home with that. And it would take me about 10 minutes, most of it is to cook rice.

I must live in a third world country, never heard of 90% of these places, but it looks like these "deals" are all crap anyhow, best of luck to anyone chasing these.

That's weird, they are one of the best values out there in my book. Even with guac, a bowl is ~$12 and is two meals for me. I can't go to any other fast food joint and get anything close to nutritious for $6.
