I picked these up for $69 from Walmart around Xmas. Haven't seen them anywhere that low since. But agreed that something lower than $89 is bound to come up, especially if they update the line and finally kill off this generation.

Don't buy, after few months the battery life has gotten terrible. Can't even finish a movie without charging in middle. I purchased around November of 2023, and battery issues began in December

Nope it was gen 2. Walmart had them for $69 around Black Friday and there was a coupon code that brought them down to $59 at checkout.

I have Gen1 - batteries are dead. Went to Apple and thought the price for battery replacement was $49 total. No - they actually replace only one (1) - ONE for a new ear bud for $69. $138 for both! I said - F-it and ordered batteries on Ebay - will try to fix them myself - Though at $59 for Gen 2 is ever possible again I would be all over that. BTW I also have Airpod Pros (GEN 1) I use as well - so they are my primary.

I bought those from Walmart back when it was 70 and then got 40 dollar Amex deal on that. So my final price was 30. It was a steal 😉🤞
