Thanks, have one in the front of my house...just bought one for the back. Has worked almost flawlessly outside for over 2 years now. Have to reformat the SD card every month or so, but can do that remotely.

It's called live monitoring.

Yes, supposedly to improve AI human detection. It's now optional

I have several of these. One on the 2nd story of my back garage, in a completely different building on my lot, at least 50ft+ away from my router. Perfect signal.

You might have had a lemon or just have crappy WiFi. I have these all around my house and they have great connectivity.

Got one of these not too long ago to do 24/7 continuous recording for the front of the house. Does the job quite well, especially like that there is no subscription fees with Eufy.

Wired means it needs to be plugged into a power source?

Just FYI, these cameras (and most other WiFi cameras) are susceptible to WiFi Jamming and deauth attacks, the latter of which can be done with a $50 watch bought on Amazon. They'll be useless against a smart burglar.

Any proof? Or did you read this on CNN?

There are many online articles, news reports and youtube videos detailing this:

https://futurism.com/the-byte/thi...fi-jammers
https://www.sacbee.com/news/calif...84370.html
https://ktla.com/news/local-news/...as-alarms/
https://www.usatoday.com/story/te...758559007/
https://www.tomshardware.com/netw...to-acquire

While Wifi jammers are expensive, the deauth attack can be done using watches you can buy on Amazon, etc. These videos show their use:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zA6AB7qYe8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrPGOjVhfRM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGJdSAxeoiA

I found out about this recently myself. I have some eufy cameras I was going to install, but now I'm thinking of getting reolink PoE cameras because they don't use wifi.
