From what I remember, neither one said it was the most useless additive.
All the additives had their issues, and none met the claims they all say they do.
Their tests were very controlled and if I recall only focused on the top end of the engine - not other parts of the fuel system or injectors???
That HondaCare warranty was your smartest thing you purchased w/your CR-V. Extended warranties need to be factored into a new car purchase and should be purchased, with the amount of crazy electronics and other components that are not like older vehicles.
BTW, been having the Christmas Tree of Lights issue on my Honda due to the injectors - I keep erasing the code with my BlueDriver app/OBD-II reader. Hoping Honda does the right thing and issues a warranty extension on them (as they did with the Honda Pilot a few years ago and their injector issues)...and I'm only 80k miles!;
Cars are no longer cars - they are electronic boxes on wheels!
This is the most useless additive verified by ChrisFix and Project Farm lol

Awaiting replacement of injectors now 2019 CR-V EX 123k miles. Bought the extended Hondacare 120k warranty when new and the problem was diagnosed at 115k miles. Waiting 4+ months for injectors to come into stock at the dealer.

Fuel system additives won't help with carbon build up on direct injection engines. The whole reason this happens is that the intake valves are not getting sprayed with fuel like they are in a port injection engine. This type of cleaner faces the same challenge.
Now it may help with the injectors themselves. That's a different story.

Exactly, this type of cleaner is more helpful on older port injection cars.

I'm waiting for one to be voluntarily issued by Honda (hopeful)
Actually, I'm waiting for Honda to do an "Extended Warranty", as they did on the A/C systems that are leaking, or the fuel pump issues currently plaguing recent Honda's (last 8 years) - beyond normal wear and tear (basically early failure).
I believe recall's are for "Safety" related things. In some cases, the Fuel Injector issue could be a "safety" related item, as some cars go into limp mode (sucks when you're driving down the road at 60mph and all of sudden your car goes into limp mode because of some code the cars computer gets thrown, related to the fuel injector...and oh, there's a truck bearing down on you from behind and you can't get your car going). Or when the injector issue causes the cars computer to disable all of the other safety features of your vehicle, such as lane keeping assist, cruise control, emergency braking, Tire pressure monitoring, etc...
If you are having injector issues, you should def. file a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration: In some cases, the NHTSA can force an auto manufacture to issue a safety related recall ---> https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-sa...em#vehicle

How can I search online for what type of fuel injetor my car has?

'scuse my ignorance, but how useful would this be in an old (second gen) Ranger engine?
...or await the recall / extended warranty on clogged fuel injectors!
** Note, this comment is directed towards those with newer Accords, CR-V's, and Civic with the 1.5L Turbo engine...
Did u actually get a recall?
