Was hoping the P1S would see a price drop also soon. Not sure how much longer I can wait before just buying.
The A1 has some features better than the P1S and the X1. The A1 is the most likely to print a job without errors of any printer I have ever used.

Active Flow Rate Compensation
Print Smooth At Every Corner, Always
The A1 mini revolutionizes flow control in 3D printing. It utilizes a high-resolution, high-frequency eddy current sensor to measure the pressure in the nozzle. Our algorithm actively compensates the flow rate according to the readings to extrude with accuracy.

I thought about the A1, but the space (depth) I have won't allow for it. I'd love to save almost $400, but not if I can't put it where I plan.

If you planing to buy Bambu 3D printer with multicolor you should wait. Because rumor Creality will announce it next week.
And you'll be the beta tester for hardware and firmware for 6 months while they drop the price 8 times then they change 2 minor things and call that a v2 and rinse repeat until the come out with the v2se, rinse repeat, v3 r&r, v3se....... and Chep will say every one is the greatest but just missing one thing. LMAO

It's a crime to give historically bad advice.

The CR10 lead the gang for a long time, creality definitely not out of the game

And then wait months 1) for them to release firmware updates to fix all the bugs…2) and for promised features not available at launch 3) for 3rd parties to manufacture all the upgrade bits you need to make it work properly 4) install and test the 3rd party upgrades 5) to keep telling yourself it was good to learn all these new troubleshooting skills instead of actually printing and 6) to figure you should have bought a Bambu Lab product to start. Elapsed time? 1+ years. I personally own several Creality products and this is my experience, my opinion.
Yep. This is exactly my experience, except elapsed time 30 days, instead of 1+ years.

I would not trust these videos so much. This one I've seen before purchasing. In the real world, when you're A1 mini strings like crazy and the same filament works perfectly on my P1P. That's when you really see the design trade off between a bed slinger and core-xy.

Stringing has nothing to do with bed design. It almost always comes down to retraction and temperature settings. A poorly tuned printer will string no matter what type of design.

Love my A1 Mini! Have it setup with a 0.2mm nozzle and use it as a dedicated small/fine detail printer. Compliments my P1S printers well.

I mean the ender 2, ender 3, and cr10 were all solid and the e3 was arguably revolutionary. Their rep has taken a hit and I wouldn't be inclined to buy their current offerings but I also can respect where things started for them.

I had to return my ender v2se because it stopped working after the 2nd print. Worked with their support and they were extremely unhelpful and no one on forums could help and 1 other person said they ran into the same thing, then they wouldn't respond when I said I wanted to return it for a refund so I just had to dispute it with PayPal and then they finally responded with a return label. It was a huge headache

Speaking as someone who's been messing about with 3d printing since 2012, this printer is kind of astonishing. A bunch of former DJI engineers have gone and DJI'd 3d printers. It's small, cheap, prints 3x as fast as my heavily-modded project printer, and the prints are better quality than anything I've previously managed. I'm kinda not fully rooting for them as they're a little iffy on matters of open-source, which has been the philosophy guiding the development of hobbyist 3d printing since the reprap project. If everyone starts silo-ing off 3d printing advancements (especially of techniques developed by the community) behind patents hobbyists will again be waiting for the field to advance one patent expiration at a time.

But I can't deny that this little printer is practically a piece of fully-usable consumer electronics. Half the things we've been printing on it are models chosen, sliced, and sent to the printer by my kids. I justified the purchase as being something for them to learn on, and it's worked. But I've also been using the printer for anything I need to print with better quality and precision than I achieve on my much larger delta.
