The screen's fine at this price, and it's built for 1080p gaming...On med-high settings, u can probably even get the frames to match the 144hz panel on modern/current games...

I imagine this guy is moaning about the 250nits....Silly, just silly... It's fine, unless you're playing on a sandy beach during noon sun....

Hard disagree. 250 NITS is not good at any price.

Am I not understanding the true benefit of this CPU over something like the 7840HS? It seems to only be a 200MHz/100MHz difference. With Intel the different models at least come with different numbers of cores and threads but that doesn't seem to be the case with any mobile Ryzen 9. The 7840U gets to within 100MHz of boost speed even if the base speed is slower but that trade-off also gives you much lower TDP.
